Blasphemy! You guys don't know what old is. I have waxes that are older than some of the members here. If I want to get rid of something, I use it on my deck furniture, aluminum window cladding, etc. Besides, that old non-pro Z5 was great stuff.
 
interesting... i love my zaino. I think i am honestly converted and am not going to go back to anything but zaino (except for carnouba choices). But due to the layering properties of zaino i LOVE IT! I havent layered anything but i am going to try it when i get my zfx.

This is interesting to hear. I purchased some Zaino a little more than a month ago. I'm quite happy with the results. I purchased Z5, Z2, and the stuff to mix in to make it cure faster (I think it's the ZFX everyone is talking about but I'm too lazy to get up and look right now). As far as the ZFX is concerned, I haven't had a problem with the ZFX itself. Once mixed with Z5 (I have never added more than one layer of Z2 as a topper myself, so I can't comment on ZFX with that) but with the ZFX and Z5, I have always thought that once mixed, the mixture must be used fairly quickly. I'm certainly no authority on the matter though. Also, just from my personal experience, I haven't had any problems with customer service from Sal or Nick. They were quick to resolve the minor issue we had.



As far as the buzz of the month issues... I don't care. I don't mind spending the money to try new products. I just received some UPPP and UPGP, and I will hopefully be trying them out before new years. I must state here that I have had nothing by the best customer service from Lynn and David at Ultima as well. A bottle broke during shipping and they had another one out to me in 3 days.



I have been considering posting more on here as I rarely post, but it's just that I see people offering their honest opinion of something (product or service) and they are shunned by others. It seems to become a personal matter rather than an opinion.

ZFX has a replacement warranty. If it dries up within 18 months, contact Sal and give him your name (verify purchase date) and a new vial will be on the way.



Obviously, your bottle of Z5 was not cracked on arrival. If so, you would have noticed this problem when previously used. I still have my initial bottle of Z5 from 2000 and the bottle is still functional. The Z5PRO purchased last December is also functional.:nixweiss

I agree with your conclusions.



Zaino is known for excellent customer service, the ZFX gelling problem was rectified over 2 years ago (including a warranty), clay turning to mush is usually a user misuse etilogy (submerging in lube) and clay rarely hardens if stored properly.



All that needs to be done is to contact Sal. He will ask you to send in the clay for analysis to see if there is a existing problem.



Is Zaino perfect? Of course not but this post is, as Va stated, very foul smelling.:rolleyes:





OP: the proper spelling is ZAINO not ZANIO. Quite curious that a self-proclaim Zaino lover and user still has no clue how the product's name is spelled or warranty availability (ZFX).:confused:
 
Zaino = great product but cheap packaging. I've had issues with bottles splitting when being squeezed & my Z6 & Z8 both leak from the nozzle on any setting. That said, it is still a superb product & my dealings with them have always been a pleasure.
 
I have had a couple of ZFX dry up on me the last two years. My understanding is that there was a problem with a (one?) batch. My rep replaced it no questions, and didn't request the old one back. I would call Sal and see what he says. Customer service has always been great on that end of the line. Just mt .02 worth.

Please start a thread to let us know your UPGP and UPPP experience(s). I found three to four coats of the UPGP seems to work the best.

I do plan to. I never got around to taking detailed before pictures though. I have afters, and will be taking pics at about 1 month intervals. I figure 3 months is about all I will be able to stand not adding something.



I have an 11 y/o Jeep that hasn't been polished in more than a year. I plan to do a full workup on it including PowerGloss, SIP, 106ff, UPPP, and UPGP. I will do a full writeup on that vehicle with before and after pictures as well. I also intend on trying the Black WOW on the trim, specifically the doorhandles, as they are whitish gray from sun damage and I feel that they would be the perfect test for it.



For the Jeep, I'm not going to do a huge amount of correction. I will bring it as far as I can with the Flex, but it's just a run around vehicle for me to tow the JetSki and such, so I won't break out the rotary on it.



But anyway, I feel like a hijacker here, so I will leave it at that.

No earlier than mid January at this point. My brother is going to school near my house next year so he will be moving in with me from Alaska this summer. If I like the Ultima products, we will do his '02 Envoy in June. If not, it's back to the Zaino as I have been pleased with it so far. It has never been touched, but I don't have the time to go to Alaska to deal with it, so it will have to wait until he moves down.



Hopefully by the third I will have some pics and a short writeup of the process I'm doing the next couple weeks on my Mercedes. This is the one that I forgot to get before pics of. I didn't think it was too bad, just some swirls visible in sunlight, but upon starting the polish process, bad water spots were found on the hood, roof, and trunk lid. I must admit, before I found Autopia and got into it and learned, I was letting the "stealer" wash it 1-2 times per week as it was on my way to work. Yeah, we all live and learn. Now I just stop in for the free danish every now and then.
 
The funny thing about the new WOWA products.. I seem to use them like a QD after a wash.. So easy, but I don't like the layer them cuz I'll get streaking.

They are that easy to use. I usually wait an hour before apply another application of ZCS. One application usually does it very well.

To better enhance the shine... Z-8 is the last step.

\r\n\r\nThat what i was told, not good service in my books,lets face it it would have cost him a couple of bucks to fix the issue.I all love the stuff but after these couple of issues i will NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER buy his product again.I also put the same post on another forum and they have had there ZFX dry up also.'
 
I had a vial of ZFX dry up,but they replaced it with no questions asked. All they had to do was confirm the date of purchase for warranty purposes. Other customer service experiences weren't quite that good.



Regarding the containers, I made a sort of funny observation one day. I ran out of Z5 Pro and a bottle of Fast Orange hand cleaner at the same time. The bottles were different colors,but otherwise they were exactly the same. They obviously buy containers from the same place.



The application of Zaino I did last month was shot after a couple of weeks. Almost zero beading on the top surfaces of the car. I almost went and ordered Ultima because that's not the first time that's happened. I did another coat this past Monday,but I've been unable to observe the beading. If it doesn't work, then I'll be buying the Ultima sampler kit.
