Thats it i have had it with Zanio!!!!!!

The application of Zaino I did last month was shot after a couple of weeks. Almost zero beading on the top surfaces of the car. I almost went and ordered Ultima because that's not the first time that's happened. I did another coat this past Monday, but I've been unable to observe the beading. If it doesn't work, then I'll be buying the Ultima sampler kit.

I live in a very harsh environment near a coal plant and on a road that gets ashed during the winter. The ash is ground up by passing cars and whips up in cloud form and lands as a fine abrasive dust on the vehicles. I've never had an application of any Z product only last a couple weeks. I've had Z beading for over 5 months during the hot summer. Are you wiping polishing oils away with ISOPROPYL alcohol prior to applying the Z?

This is interesting to hear. I purchased some Zaino a little more than a month ago. I'm quite happy with the results. I purchased Z5, Z2, and the stuff to mix in to make it cure faster (I think it's the ZFX everyone is talking about but I'm too lazy to get up and look right now). As far as the ZFX is concerned, I haven't had a problem with the ZFX itself. Once mixed with Z5 (I have never added more than one layer of Z2 as a topper myself, so I can't comment on ZFX with that) but with the ZFX and Z5, I have always thought that once mixed, the mixture must be used fairly quickly. I'm certainly no authority on the matter though. Also, just from my personal experience, I haven't had any problems with customer service from Sal or Nick. They were quick to resolve the minor issue we had.

As far as the buzz of the month issues... I don't care. I don't mind spending the money to try new products. I just received some UPPP and UPGP, and I will hopefully be trying them out before new years. I must state here that I have had nothing by the best customer service from Lynn and David at Ultima as well. A bottle broke during shipping and they had another one out to me in 3 days.

I have been considering posting more on here as I rarely post, but it's just that I see people offering their honest opinion of something (product or service) and they are shunned by others. It seems to become a personal matter rather than an opinion.

Lynn is awesome, the best customer service I have ever received. On my last order of Ultima products, a lot of the Ultima Interior Shampoo spilled during shipping, I called Lynn and by the next day I had a new bottle. Don't be afraid to post your honest opinion on your experience with Ultima. Around 3 coats will give you great results. Don't forget to wait about 12 hours between coats, and do not buff until after the final coat. Post some pics as well. Happy detailing!

If you are going to switch to Ultima PGP, I can't stress enough that you need at least three coats twelve hours apart to really hit the Ultima PGP stride. ALso make sure after the last coat has dried and crosslinked, you polish it really well with a thick plush clean MF.

I'm not making that up. I have pictures, albeit with a camera phone,if you would like to see.

No I don't wipe down with ISA because I polish with ZAIO or ZPC or both.

The section I applied CS on is the worst of them all.

Wow mate, I never thought I would see the day you would leave Zaino

When you showed me that red liquid that was once your clay bar, I thought it must be a one off. Obviously it's not

Personally, I don't get the whole zaino thing, it's just polymer and is definately overpriced.

Permagard PD5000, Glare and a few others will last a year no probs and you won't be mixing bottles.

Considering how many surfaces the glare and permagard products can polish, how long they last, the great results and the fact that your not removing any paint or top coating, they are very reasonably priced.

Interesting statement about Zaino being only a polymer which is in the same family of chemical structure (polymeric) as the secret ingredient in Glare - Glassplexin (a silicate polymer -Si-). Silicated polymers are used in a variety of products and not novel in this usage for car care protection products.

IMNSHO, face it zaino is the best out there for a sealant the more u fight the more money/time u waste :up
There, FTFY.

There is no objective "best". Claiming there is starts annoying product wars.

Tort

i've had a couple bottles come with split tops, too.. one split right in half, looked like someone sawed right through it

tried but it does not have the look of zaino tho it is much cheaper so i do take that into account. IMO a couple extra dollars to make my vehicle look the way i want it to is worth it too me

:nixweiss Looks exactly like Zaino (as applied to vehicles) to me. I have both product lines and have used them side by side, btw. Detailer's Pride's Sealant looked like Zaino to me, but isnt as durable.

Personally, I think Werkstatt is the best sealant system available.

That is what makes this forum great i dont agree with you and i can :2thumbs:

i have used JW and imo it does not last as long as zaino or bead as well too. i still have it but dont use it as much because of those reasons

I plan on getting prime to see if using it over AIO is hurting durability.

never heard of detailer pride.

there is a reason why zaino is the most talked about sealant on here IT WORKS:buffing:

Zero is an awesome product but I didn't pay that much.

Permagard Reactive polymer is a permanent coating, that's got to beat zaino, surely

Is it true that a polymer is a man made material and naturally occuring silica is not.

I don't know exactly what the ingredients are but zero is sensational

Can work it forever and a day and make some damn deep permanent marks so much harder to spot or make them dissappear altogether

I got the same results today two weeks after a fresh coat of Z5 Pro/Z8. Beading was terrible on the top surfaces,so I ordered the Ultima kit.

I don't get it.

I did clay the trunk and put ZAIO/Z5 Pro/Z8 back on to see if that helped any.
