Swisswax Vs Zymol???

It would seem that Swissvax is now importing to the US so Im looking at getting a new Highend wax(highend to me) and am leaning twords either Zymol Titanium or carbon or Swissvax Onyx.

My car is a metallic red.

How do the waxes compare??? Price taken into account as well.

I'm in the same boat. Getting either Zymol Concours (best price so far $164 shipped) or Swissvax Concorso ($220 + shipping). Seems like many have tried Zymol but not Swissvax.

Lets hope we both find out the answer.

I've heard that Victoria Concours (Red) is comparable to Zymol and Swissvax. DaveKG said it gives a much deeper look than any Zymol or Swissvax wax he's tried and it's soooooo much cheaper.

I haven't used Titanium or Onyx. I have used Concours, Concorso, Destiny, Mystery, and Vintage. IMO, you can't really judge the brand by one wax. For example, I prefer Concorso and Mystery to Concours and Destiny, but Vintage is in a league of it's own.

I think re: Titanium and Onyx I would *personally* try Souveran, Victoria Concours, or Worlds Best Wax first. All three are less expensive and are likely as good or very, very close.

This is gonna be good. Someone dared to put up the challenge. You're right about Vintage Picus...........sheesh I could go on all night about that stuff.

But let's get a grudge match going between Concorso? and maybe a comparable zymol. Nothing wrong with some friendly competition between similar lsps!!! Don't make the competition too good, else I might pick up another expensive wax for the daily driver (I am already in the poorhouse with the signature car's lsp!!)!

Concorso vs a similar Zymol? That'd be Concours I guess. I've used them both pretty extensively and could go on about them both at length. I don't prefer Concorso just because of looks, in fact I can see what Concours would appeal to many people in the looks department. For me Concorso sets itself apart from Concours because it's a lot easier to use, lasts longer, and cleans up better. I've used WBW, Victoria, Souveran, etc... Concours and Concorso are worth the extra money imo, of the two I'd pick Concorso.

I have used both Concours and Best of Show (comparible to Concourso)

The BoS has more bling for me, but Concours has greater durability.

All in all, with the excemption of Swissvax Divine, I find the Swissvax products are far easier to use. I've hand waxed a black Boxster in direct sun, the paint was so hot I almost burnt the pamls of my hands applying the wax!! Still applied to the whole car and buffed off without any fuss tho!!! I dont see Concours doing that.

As far as the Divine vs Vintage goes - in the long term Vintage has it. Divine takes a far greater amount of effort, but easily holds its own:

I have used most of the zymöl Estate waxes . . . including Concours, Destiny, Atlalntique, and Vintage. (I was lucky enough to buy some sample kits. Zymöl isn’t selling the Estate waxes in sample kits anymore.) I am now useing zymöl Glasur on my Porsche. As far as I am concerned you would have a hard time beating the better zymöl waxes. But I haven't tried Swissvax.

The apparent consensus that Vintage is in a league of its own is *not* what I want to hear :hmph:

Wellnnnnnnnn not for nuthin'..........had you've *tried* a zymol.........any zymol........like I suggested pages and pages ago...........

Maybe we would've known by now about how good a zymol is.........and the *differences* between them..........Thus knowing about Vintage.....Royale?....Solaris????......may not have come as an unwelcomed phrase.............good buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol!!!!!:welcome :Geezx

bump for more advice/opinions. I am so close to ordering swissvax concorso, scuderia, and zuffenhausen. i already have it on the screen and all i have to do is enter my credit card number lol. any other opinions?

I don't even know what to put the samples in... I put my Concours order today and have Victoria in hands. I'd love to get lbls1 compare Victoria to other things he has used as well as Accumulator with Concours.

How much would you need for an effective test? About 0.5 oz? 1 oz?

Wait and see! It's a promise!

Wow that's really tempting!!! Let me think on it....I wouldn't want to commit to anything. If anything, now it looks like I'll have to at least try a Victoria for next year.
