Terrific, looks like it's still on show room floor. That interior choice though, LOL, it's like somebody in Interior Design thought "We really should offer something that will match everyone's Avocado appliances!" . . . and somebody bought it!

We had avocado shag carpeting in the first house we bought in 1991, left over from the 70’s. I’m sure it seemed like a good idea at the time.The Challenger also has a green vinyl top
The Goodguys meet is in town this weekend so probably the first stop for the Challenger.Been a nice few weeks at work for those of us who like V8’s; 1966 Shelby GT350-H and a 1100hp 2013 Shelby GT500 in as well.

They went through a lot of course wool pads & microfiber pads to knock down the texture on the Challenger; GT350-H had very soft paint so a lot of B & S Uro Cell red pads to finish that one out.

That is amazing!! Fun to see it, the fun meter would peg to be there with it.
Somehow I can hear Archie and Edith Bunker sing "Those Were the Days" when I see this 70's Mopar.
Unlike most of you, I am not a fan of the "green" interior, BUT with today's austere and limited interior color selection of black, grey, or tan, with an occasional white, it is kinda nice to remember that there was a time when interiors were available in several color options from the USA car manufacturers.
One question for you Budget Plan1:
Do you know how Esoteric details the matte paint hood?? Or I assume it is paint and not a vinyl decal/wrap/applicae from way back then.
Our family fully optioned '74 Ford LTD Country Squire Wagon (first car with air-conditioning and power front bench seat & tinted windows!) , replete with fake wood fiberglass trim and decals, came with a dark green "luxury" vinyl interior to compliment the yellow-tan paint, so at least I am familiar with a green interior! The exterior was hail damaged when we bought it as a new-car off the lot and my father got it on a very good deal from the Ford dealer in Green Bay for a vehicle we could not otherwise afford. (Yes, my father was "frugal" at times... Like father like son, hey, Captain Obvious!). As my father said of the hideous (to me, anyway) pox-marked hood and roof, "It don't hurt the runnin' of it none", which was true.

Oh, we had the Mercury version, the Colony Park. Ours was blue, with the blue vinyl interior. I don't remember the fiberglass, but the faux-wood vinyl wrap on the sides/back.
