Suede on an aston martin

The Prima line is exceptional for PC use. In fact it was made for PC and not Rotary use, unlike most polishes. Too bad it does not get many reviews here. You can get Prima Cut, Swirl, and Finish at detailers paradise.

Menzerna is probably the best polish I have worked with. It works well with the PC and Rotary. I would keep Menzerna SIP and 106FF in my arsenal (both pretty expensive at 45+ per 32oz) if I were you.

Another option is Optimum. Their OHC, OC and OP get great reviews here. Low dust, long working times, awesome prices.

5" pads are probably my favorite with the PC. 4" is just for deep correction and it takes forever to detail a full car. 6" seems a bit too big cause and you need to work polishes longer and apply more pressure. I would keep 5" pads for medium polishes and fine polishes, 6" for applying wax and sealants, and 4" for deep/spot correction. Danase has a combo where you can pick 5-6 5" CCS pads for a great price if you just want to stick to one size.

Using paste... Invert the jar on top of the pad, let the wax slide onto pad, angle the jar or squeeze to hold the wax in place, and spread evenly on the pad.

Also i was thinking about getting the lake country ccs 5" foam pads. would they be good with the pc?

... also i know you can use paste waxes with the pc but how would you do it? take the whole like block of wax out of the container and rub it on the pad?

those are the pads that i use.

as for a paste you can either A) take it out of the container with a MF glove and spread a light coat on the pad or B) only take tfe wax out like 1cm or so and squeeze the container so it says in like that then rub it on.

OK! thanks guys, youree the best!... kapinnn, i owe you one, THANKS!

I think im going to order the lake country pads and menzerna polish, And possibly another sealant. Also how long do you think i should let the klasse sealant glaze cure for? Also what is the best sealant out on the market (in your opinions), I think with the AM i should value the looks more then protection because he only drives it a few times a month. I am known for rushing decisions (such as buying stuff), so im going to wait for tonight to put the order in so that i can get your guys'es feedback.

THANKS sooo MUCH

You owe me nothing, just work hard and be successful. Maybe you owe us before and afters pictures of the Aston Martin.

Wait till Monday to order, most places won't be ready to ship by tomorrow anyway. That way you can put in last minute orders... If you order through autogeek use discount code SUMMER15 till 08-26 to get 15% off. If you order through Danase, use autopia to get 10% off.

I dont use Klasse SG because I kept reading that curing time was 1 day. I'm not sure if it cannot be topped at all before then, but I know jetseal can be topped in 20 minutes. Someone said yesteday that mseal can be topped pretty quick too. Best sealant is hard to say... as far as looks a lot of people will vouch for 4* UPP, Blackfire sealant, JetSeal, JW AJ/AJT, Duragloss 601+105, Optiseal, lots of options... the best judge will be yourself. Try different products, sometimes the application method makes up for price and looks. Sometimes you want protection regardless of how long it takes to apply and cure. Try different products.

Good luck!

i completely understand your reasoning for not wanting me to take this job. And frankly im a little nervous, but i find when your nervous its safer. also the owner is one of my dads good freinds, so i doubt he would sue. But if i needed to get the money i could get it out of the money ive earned this past summer from detailing.

Well, sounds like you have your bases covered. BTW, where in Virginia are you?
