Son1c Home Brew Carnauba Wax - ProtoWax -> Picture Heavy

Thank you for the continued support!

Anything in particular you'd like to see from the wax? or could you describe your "dream wax"

Hmmm, well for me I think the best would be a harder wax that would give a little marring protection, but has a very glass look to it. Not all the waxes i've used in the past have that IMO. Some are sort of warm... that's not my particular look.

Seems like you're more a synthetic guy! I appreciate the input and I'll see what I can do :D

Question or two, since you are attempting to be a chemist.

1. What "emulsifer" is used to keep it in a blend?(other wise, all the work "falls apart in the container, etc"

2. What will it require for a container to keep all in suspension? (What flourination level, what sort of "cap", would the product require a metal container, if not a certain level of flourination plastic bottle?)

3. What testing have you done to assure that the combination will have a shelf life of at least two years.

4. Have you done any, by accepted test protocals of what the melt points are when exposed to a real , all over the world storage and usage, will be?

I could ask a few more questions, but I am not a "car care chemist", I just used to employe them to take my "ideas-thoughts" and then if all met the true requirements, considered if they might be a viable player that could marketed.

ProtoWax 31 Beading and Sheeting

I'm very happy with the progress

I truly believe and know that I can produce a quality product.

I was extremely impressed when I applied ProtoWax 31 to trim, as it not only darkened the trim, but the beading was outstanding

Can someone say fragrance testing?

Played around with the formulation, and this one was a bust

I'm ecstatic with the progress of this wax, seems every day a new ingredient comes in for product testing, I've been able to allocate a lot of time to really get this moving, but more than anything else I appreciate the overwhelming positive support, because at the end of the day I'm producing this for you all!

So again I truly appreciate the support and I promise to give everything I have to produce a product worth using!

I appreciate the questions!

That's a test that simply takes time, and I have faith and would back my product on a great shelf life, once I finalize my recipe then a ton of extensive testing ensues

I have started that testing, and thus far no abnormalities have shown

I currently have a double wall pot that has housed an earlier ProtoWax great and label designing is underway (slowly) after that I will test further with the container, how it seals, etc --- always testing to be done!

Looks like it's coming along very nicely man... congrats on making more progress! I hope with the fragrance test you don't add in any of that whey protein back there :P

Update 11

So much has happened with this since my last update, I'm now on ProtoWax 36 and the way this formula came to me was..just.. crazy.

I was on ProtoWax 34, still struggling with the buff off, laying awake in bed ingredients running through my head, wake up the next morning (prior to my alarm) and I just had an idea, something off the wall, a good stray away from my current leading ProtoWax --- created it, poured it, realized I was onto something but needed to alter an attribute, concocted 36 and poured, let it cool, have been testing ProtoWax 36 rigorously since. I am in love with it, I have almost achieved the wax I have been looking to create all along. Since ProtoWax 36's creation I have gotten into the hands of ~10 others and have all been fond of the wax

I had the opportunity to attend the Autogeek Member Detail Event on 6/29/13 and here are the results of Son1c Wax both vehicles were clayed, polished, and IPA'd prior to Son1c Wax application -- currently ProtoWax is a Wet on Wet off Wax --- with a cure time of ~15 minutes -- hope that makes sense :D if it does not simply ask and I will try to clarify further

-->

Wet on -- Let haze for ~15 minutes

Buff off

Stay tuned and thanks for viewing :D

Thank you sir :D It's been an endeavor to say the least!

haha I did not, don't want to be bulking up others ride unless they desire so!

Update 12 ..

Sending this out to, well I'll update on that later ;)

ProtoWax 36 is hazing, being impatient it took me awhile to find that out, between ~15-30 minutes however so far it can really be buffed any time after 15 minutes (in testing thus far) it goes from wet -> tacky -> hazed

Applied to my clients vehicle yesterday :D

--> as Chris said, Who says silver can't shine!

R&D

ProtoWax 37 ProtoWax 38

Update 13 .. Tying up loose ends ..

Current testing underway on 37 and 38, will brew 39 today as well -- however prior to that 36 is still the front runner

Tester submitted photo --- Blue + Green (37+38) were dropped hence the "crumbles" on top

The Dodge Charger a week later

ProtoWax's ->

Some more field testing of ProtoWax 36

Update 14

ProtoWax 38 ProtoWax 39

Another ProtoWax 36 pour

Cooling.. Preview if you read one of the labels.. ;)

the 36 has a real nice look to it. Very sealant like IMO... glassy perhaps might be the better word maybe? I like the look a lot myself honestly though. Are you working on waxes with filling properties or would that just be a by product (I know most waxes will have some filling properties, but just wondering how much)?

Edit: will be interested to see how the brazilian wax comes out.

I'm a huge fan of free product giveaway's, going into this I knew that I would follow through and provide my own, well that dream has come to reality. If you're interested in entering to win a free pot of Son1c Wax (still in development) criteria is simple -> Like and Share the Competition photo on facebook -> www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=491...37321556317.1073741828.485133061556743&type=1 and have Son1c Wax (the page) liked. www.Son1cWax.com

I'm glad you like the look! :D

I'm not working towards filling properties on this wax, however as a by product is does have minor filling properties (as you already know)

The previous two carnaubas I've used have been brazilian as well, been using high quality since day 1! I just figured I'd post a picture of some raw ingredients!
