I think it was 2 years ago the last time I extracted the carpets in the house. I had the smaller Mytee 8070 which has 85" of water lift.
We do not wear shoes in the house. Well....of course I do when I just need to run inside when detailing.
Carpets are vac'd 1-2 times a week.
Pre-vac as with the carpets in a car this is very important. Each area was vac'd over 4-5 times in different directions.
Today I used the Mytee HP60, da big biatch....137" of water lift. I have had this one for a year.
I pretreated with Ultra-pac and used dry slurry in the tank of the mytee to extract with. Some areas required pre-treating with Bac-out which works great on protein stains (foods.) I pre-treated w/ Citra-Solv for grease or oil stains.
When I pre-treat an area or stain, all you want to do is work the product into the fibers of the carpet with a brush. Excessive scrubbing is not needed.
Most areas got 2 wet strokes, followed by at least 3 dry strokes.
The heavly traffic areas got 3 wet followed by 4 dry strokes.

When the carpets of any car is extracted the waste water is usually 3x as dirty as the above.
Waiting for the living room to dry so I can do the other part:
