So what's in the bag?

I will have to try some of the new stuff and try the S30+.

I will be using the S17 and S40 today on a 7 Series BMW. I will try to get some pics. It is only a quick wholesale job, so I will get to see how quick and performance wise they really are on a whole job.

Any new observations/updates on the Scholl comopounds? I have been testing a new compound this week. Very interesting.

I have been playing around with them more lately and the regular versions work good on softer clears, but have a harder time working on harder clears. They just break down too fast and can't keep up. I just don't like how you have to load up the pad so much to work a section. Then you have to wash the pads out a lot cause of product build up on the pad.

I am hoping the S17+ and S30+ versions will have a much longer working time to remove defects from harder clears without drying up to quick.

I need to try the plus newer versions.

Marcus, are you talking about the new Gtechniq? If so, what are your thoughts?

Ryan, this is not the Gtechniq. This polish/compound have a good cut but finishes out very nicely. I did some testing on a hood that we scrathed with brushes, scotchbrite sponge and dirt. First I hit it with a LC foamed wool pad and then I took a black waffled pad as second step. This polish have a long working time when polished with medium rpm 1200-1500. Easier to break it down with higher rpm, IE over 1500.

After I break it down I did a quick wipe with a MF-towerl and then switched to a black waffled finishing pad. Added a couple of drops with polish and spread at low rpm. Up to 1500 and let it break down, finished with many passes at 600 rpm. Superb finish.

Will send you some, but I have to stock up first.

I am still waiting to get my sample pack of Scholl Products, but did get some samples of G techniq products. The bottles are small to begin with and they didn't give me much product in each bottle. I am eager to try the P1 nonoscopic polish. Has anyone else tried it yet?

Here are a few pictures of the samples:

On detailingworld they had a tutorial meeting 2 weeks ago. Not too many pictures but their own site has some videos that you can watch.

Can't wait for you to try it. The polish dusts a lot according to some but not noticable in the videos.

I have been watching the thread on detailingworld and have both of the videos (P1 polish video and C1 nano crystalline application video). I'll have find a good test vehicle to try it out on. I'll make sure I post up my results.

That would be great! Can't wait to see what you think of P1

Time for me to just use the great polishes that I have and enjoy those.

The C1 coating is awsome. You guys will also like the glass coating, I have been using it for over two years now. Top notch.

Rickrack, any updates on this?

Since the weather has not been that great over the past few months, I have not been able to do much testing with these products. I have a targa top from a Corvette that I used to test a few of the products out on, but it is yellow and pretty beat up, so it wasn't the best test panel.

I tried the P1 polish on a twisted wool pad, followed by a black foam pad and my initial thoughts are good. It worked in very easy with the wool pad and didn't produce any dusting. It worked very nice on the foam pad as well. Seemed to remove a fair amout of scraches and left the finish pretty glossy, but who knows what kind of results you would get on a black vehicle with a fair amount of defects? More testing is needed to evaluate this product.

I used the G1 nano glass coating on my girlfriends SUV and my fathers SUV and must say that I am *very* impressed with this product. I applied it to a clean windshield with a make-up remover pad, let it haze and then used the G1 residue remover to take it off. The first time it rained, the wipers skipped a little bit, but after a little while they stopped and worked normally. The water sheds of amazingly well and you don't even need to turn the wipers on over 40 mph. I have had it on my girlfriends vehicle for almost 2 months and it is still working pretty well. I have only had it on my fathers truck for a short while. Both of them love how it works while driving on the highway and driving in the rain at night. It is a very nice product and would consider buying a bottle it it is not too costly.

I tried some of the C1 nano crystalline coating to a small section on the targa top. I applied it with a make-up remover pad as well and wiped off immediately with a microfiber cloth. Looks were pretty good, but it was hard to tell any difference on the bright yellow paint. I poured some water over it and it beaded water nicely, but so didn't the rest of the top after I had polished it with various products. I'm not sure if I really want to use this product on one of my customers cars because of the silicone content. I am going to wait until I have a perfect test car before I apply it to a complete vehicle. I was discussing this product with Rydawg and we are both nervous what kind of long term effects of this product are.

As for the Scholl products, I have done a little bit of testing with them and plan to do a full review in a few weeks.

Can you please provide link of this thread you are referring to? I would like to see these videos. Searched Detailing world but can't find them...

Would love to get reviews on C1 and how to apply it.
