So what's in the bag?

I have not used the W6 wax, only W9 and SW10. Those waxes are good but their is much better LSPs out there. As I said before, SW10 is more like a QD to protect fresh polished paints. W9 is kind of tricky. Bence told me that they are using a roatary with a black soft waffle pad @ 1500 rpm to remove it. Will try it later on a black Toyota Corolla.

Have you played anything more with the S17? Try it with a wool pad and follow up with S17 and a soft pad. It´s a wonderful polish with a wide spectrum.

After having a terrible time with the wax on the first panel, I realized that it was the same color as S17. :wall :wall :wall

Could I have a miss labeled bottle?

S40 didn't want to come off for me and couldn't work it in even at 2200 rpm. I hate it.

S17 I tried on the pc for others who don't use a rotary and it worked fantastic.

The spray wax worked like a charm, however didn't feel slick at all. Althouch that isn't an issue for me.

:shocked :shocked :shocked :shocked :shocked :wall :wall :wall

That stinks Thomas.

I did have decent luck with the S17 with the short time I had used it.

The S40 was a pain at first, but I learned it just cut and finished really fast. If you tried going over it a third pass to try and break it down, it just got really grabby. I then worked it in 2 passes quickly (1 minute per panel if that) and it did finish off really nice. It did have quite a learning curve. It works really fast. There is no working this product in. On some paints it could be a pain, but I need more time with it.

My polish colors are:

S02 White

S17 Purple

S40 dark grayish color (looks like 106)

W06 Pinkish

SW10 White kind of smells like mink oil

Did you use the S40 with the rotary and/or PC?

I know for sure S02 and S17 are keepers!

I do want to try the S30+

Are all of their polishes designed for ceramic clears? I've read that aluminum oxide has a 9 rating on the Mohr scale- diamonds are a 10 rating. If these polishes(and any other aluminum oxide or cerium oxide) are designed for hard clears I doubt that a PC and a foam pad could break the abrasives down so quickly. Could what is being described as breaking down actually just be drying out?

Today I used the s2 on a white LCVC pad (1500-2100rpm) and worked excellent. A very good compound for sure and doesn't dust like PG. If I think about it it dusted very little actually, although the car was white.

S17 also worked great with a white pad and 1800rpm. I wasn't correcting though.

Those 2 polishes are great.

My initial detail that I used the Scholl was a carbon black M3. Left my memory card home so I couldn't take pictures of the S40 and how it behaved on the paint. Couldn't wipe it off. I had to go over it with S17 and an orange pad.

I used (I think) too much to prime the pad and still after one pass you could see that it just dried right out, but wasn't dusting or anything like that. It looked more like when one doesn't work the polish in enough.

That S40 is definately not a product for me at all. Especially when I have Ultrafina Se and 106ff.

The wax W6, looks different from the S17. Sorry about that Bence. - one is pinkish the other is light purple.

It also dried out very fast. As per Bence I tried spreading it very thin, but still. Wouldn't wipe off. Out came S17.

Anyways, I think that I'll pass on spending $$$ on these products.

If I ordered "A" polish from overseas, it will be 3M's Fast Cut Plus - not Scholl products.

I will try to play around with the wax and the S40 tomorrow, but I highly doubt that anything will change as far as the outcome. But who knows?

I'll let all of you know.

Their black pad, rotary, 2100+rpm.

An orange pad with the S17 on the pc broke down to nearly clear and left a beautiful finish.

Have you tried the wax yet?

I don't think that I want to use a wax that comes off at 2500rpm and an orange pad.:soscared: :soscared:

All these reviews and still no pictures. I call BS.:grinno:

My pictures today didn't come out too good at all, but here you go, just for you.

You will not be impressed at all. In person the paint looked great though.

Looks good tdekany.

I want to see some of the polishes in the works:getdown .

I already have my waxes/sealants I will ever use. Don't need to try more when I have what I like.

I did try some of the w06 on a test panel of my friends car and it was nothing speacial. I care more about the correction polishes though.

I will play around with them more this weekend on a 04 745IL. That should be a great test paint.

I know for sure, I do like the S02 and S17. Now when I used the S40 on my own truck,I spun it at 1200 rpm and it was done in 2 short passes.

Thomas try this for the finishing step:

S40 on a LC black pad via rotary at 1200 rpm and do 1 pass to cover and one pass over to finish. If it does not get all the holograms out, then repeat.

That is what I came up with the best results. Totally opposite from what we are used to, but it worked.

I'll give you a call tomorrow.

Hi guys, I'm back after a difficult week with fever, etc.

I saw a couple of new experiences. Thomas, I let the W06 haze but for a short time. Not WOWO, rather 2-3 panels then wipe off. I wipe it on with foam apps, whisper thin. If the layer is thicker, it won't come off easily or if it's even thicker, it won't move. Not an easy stuff. The uninteresting look will change with more layers. The nicest I had was 3 coats over Meg's #7 on SS red. It wasn't slick either, but after #7 nothing feels really slick, just smooth. That was my first impression with #7 as well.

The S40 is rather good I think, because t works fast too. If I was trying to work with them as I would with other polishes, they somehow let me down. I had to believe the short work approach, especially when switching to Scholl during testing from an Optimum product. Dunno, I still prefer the long working time of Optimum. It gives an 'artistic' feeling...

The Scholls are designed to work fast, so a short working time is a built-in characteristic. As Ryan says, about 1 min is fully enough. Sholl has tweaked the S40 for better removal though, but I haven't used the new formula.

Marcus, have you used the new S40?

Do I have the newer formula of the S40 or is it the + that is the newer version?

We will just have to learn the short working time. It took the S40 2 passes and 2 sessions which took under 5 minutes total to make my panel near 99% perfect. Inspect the area and if you see something, repeat the 1 minute step again and it then should be perfect.

Time will tell.

S17 is great stuff though.:bow
