So Cal; Ventura/S.B./West L.A. meet?

Hey my mother in law has a 97' Mitsubishi Mirage. This one is bad. Might be a great tester piece......lol. Plus when I get back I'll be back on her good side again.

LOL on the rental deal.

I have a good client base and am fairly sure sombebody with a neglected black car would let me drive their ride to wherever necessary...for a free or discounted detail of course.

Maybe what we'll need to pitch in for is renting shop space for a day...unless someone comes through. Like I said, my place would work great...it just doesn't seem to be close to many of the interested persons. If we are going to have more of a generic "meet & clean," the park across from my house is PERFECT (and it's right on the bay beach). I have a pressure washer with 90 gallon tank on my truck, 3,500 generator, etc. On the other hand, if we have a "serious" professional development cross-training, my garage would suffice...but anything more than 5 people would be unwieldy.

Yeah, I'm sure there will be no shortage of supplies and equipment.

Rob, R U interested in attending the general "meet" (kinda like a detail fest, I guess), or would you also be interested in attending a cross-training session I have been pushing where each participant will actively "Cross-train" the other participants? Or both?

is there an exact date set?

i'll gladly volunteer my car; 1999 chevy camaro with swirls and blemishes galore. i've been so busy with my new job, i rarely even get a chance to even clean my car. as stated before, i'm game the meet.

i'm sure i can pick up a lot of pointers and techniques ... i got nothing to lose by showing up.

I'd love to go to this meeting. I woould even let you use my stang. It's got plenty of swirl marks and could use a good detailing. :buffing:

This sounds like a great time to pick up some new idea's, and share some too. Count me in, I would love to go and represent the Inland Empire......

Chris, that is a different event.......Let me clarfiy. Theres one tentative date set for a small cross training type event, where were going to discuss techniques and our personal processes.

Then theres one ongoing event, were still trying to get together, where one and all can come, and we can sit in a informal setting and BS, eat, and have some fun. Maybe we could also have a little detailing fest, but getting a "garage" type setting is the difficult task......I wouldnt mind doing a little get together at a local park. We did that with another forum. Actually i was kind of the detail freak, and everybody else were car enthusiasts.....I did end up handing out towels and cards to help drum up some business......I do have some connections with the local park agency, and might be able to work something out. We could have a BBQ, and just get to know each other, and swap stories etc.......
