So Cal; Ventura/S.B./West L.A. meet?

What exactly is everybody looking to do?

Just BS and hang out, detail some rides, learn this or that?????

I have access to a large auto detailing shop in Orange county and can put something together. I need to know what everybody wants or expects out of it.

When I know that I will make it happen.

Sounds good to me. As long as there is polish and vehicles and a place to be I think we are good.

Thinking back to the beginning of this idea/thread, the problem wasn't organization, it was attendance. Nobody wanted to hop in their ride and drive to the 805-- too far. I don't blame most but at the same time, I have no problem mashing down the road for a cool event and at 9.7 mpg that's an expensive trip. I do the SB to So.OC drive monthly and its cake at the right hours. Summer vacations might be an issue, kids to look after, detailing business!? I don't know, the hand count always seems low. :sadpace:

Just noticed this thread and I would be down to meet up sometime in early Oct. I am still very new this detailing so it would be a learning experience for me, as opposed to a sharing thing. I would love to see if anybody could actually get all the scratches out of my new Audi, cause I have been trying for weeks now with no success. I am a professional photographer so I could do photos of everybody rides as an exchange for the lessons.

I didn't realize this thread was out there when I posted my "cross-training" inquiry. Nevertheless, what I was desiring was a more-hands session composed of highly-experienced detailers where we could work on cars other than our own - presumably our cars are in relatively good shape. I want to see what process other detailers use when they come across a black vehicle that looks like it just came back from the dunes of Iraq.

But more on-topic...I would try to meet at the "meet" should one get scheduled.
