Sneak peak of the latest project... full wetsand/ Ferrari 458 Italia

Thanks guys for the kind words of encouragement. I am working on the writeup now, but it will probably be at least a week before it is done.

Amazing results. How long did it take? I'd guess 4 days?

Started at 8:30 AM Saturday and finished at 7:00 PM yesterday (Wednesday), with 12-14 hour days in between. The hardness of the paint in conjunction with the fact that every body panel is curved is what caused the most pain. (And took so much time).

You were not kidding when you told me it had a lot of orange peel, thats really awful! Cant wait to see the complete W/O on it =P~

Sweet!!!! Now this is the right way to sand a Ferrari! Director

You should change the name of your business to Star Trek Detailing..."boldly going where no other detailer has gone before". You just made detailing history. :D

Wow owner didn't care about paint thickness! Then again if done right removal shouldn't be a worry. Can't wait to see how you wetsanded in the write up.

Thanks Dave, it's gonna take me a while to get the write up done but I will do my best!

LOL, I think your blowing it up a little much. I might be the first one to fully sand the 458 (don't know they have been out in Europe for a while) or at least document, given the 458's massive orange peel I will definitely not be the last.

Very cool Todd! Nice cars aren't they?

Thanks Barry! Very cool car.

I measured the paint very carefully, but we found the balance between flattening the paint and material removal. It wasn't perfectly flat when I was done, but almost flat.
