I just finished washing my car by hand and i'm afraid i may have put some swirls in it. Here is what i did. What did i do wrong.
I had 2 buckets. I filled one with clean water and the other with water and one grand car wash soap. I had 2 wash mitts. One for the hood, roof, and doors, and one for the lower dirtier areas. After each panel i would dip my mitt into the clean water bucket to get the dirt off. I would then hit the mitt with the hose to get even more dirt out. I would then put back in the car wash bucket. I did this until the car was clean. We have hard water here so i tried to dry it quickly with the absorber. I've read here that you should just dab it instead of running it along the paint. Before i dried i took the nozzle off to let the water sheet. The dabbing wasn't working very good, i guess there was too much water left. I had to very gently run the absorber over the paint. By the time i was done drying i noticed alot of hard water spots on the paint and the windows. My glass cleaner didn't really get rid of them on the glass. I took show off to the remaining water spots. When i finished I notice some swirl marks(they weren't in a swirl pattern since i was washing in a back and forth motion. What did i do wrong?
