S100 Vs P21s?

Frame waxing ??? I am using the wrong wax on my bike, no visable frame showing. Full fairing, saddlebags and side panels do a great job creating a lot of flat panels.

What bikes would S100 be designed for Choppers ? Must be if it is sold at every Harley store.

At the end of the day, for me the S100 looks the goods, is easy to use and is quite durable for a wax ( anywhere up to 6 weeks depending on weather conditions ). I cant justify the extra expense of P21S over the S100 ( particularly when you factor in the currency conversion ).

But at the end of the day, do what works for you. Take other people's opinions on board, but getting out there and using the product to formulate your OWN opinions on a product is what it is all about.

P21S has beeswax, too.

I have both products. I have used both products, repeatedly.

They look alike. They smell alike. They feel alike. They apply alike. They buff off alike.

The end results are visually indistinguishable. The performance characteristics (beading, slickness, longevity) are indistinguishable. If these 2 products are different, the difference is so slight as to escape my detection...during and after dozens of applications.

The instructions/marketing spin is basically the same...Substitute "bike" for "car". The little round booklet in each jar is 95% verbatim (See substitutes above).

I'm aware that there were some jars of S100 around a few months ago that held a more yellow colored wax. I have purchased 3 jars of S100 in the last two years and they are all the same...Identical to my jars of P21S.

I will openly make the same blanket-type statements regarding the similarities between S100 Shine-enhancing Cleanser and P21S Gloss-enhancing Paintwork Cleanser.

Repackaging products is common. Hondabrite = S100 Total Cycle Cleaner.

Whew!

Hey, if it looks like duck....

My S100 is yellow wax, is P21S and other S100 jars white ?

Mine is white; it's possible that they've decided to reformulate, possibly to differentiate it from the P21S :nixweiss .

As I mentioned: "I'm aware that there were some jars of S100 around a few months ago that held a more yellow colored wax. I have purchased 3 jars of S100 in the last two years and they are all the same...Identical to my jars of P21S."

Every jar of both brands I've purchased are identical inside. Slightly "off-white" wax.

I'm a little surprised by this issue. Sure, technically you're saving about $20, but on a product that lasts (depending on how often you're waxing how many cars) for years. The P21S is described and marketed as being for cars, the guy who formulated says it's better for cars. Not saying it's bad to use S100 on your car (it's your car), just surprised that THIS is where people on this forum are saving a couple bucks.

To the uninformed, 87- and 93-octane gas are the same and the internet rumor mill serves mainly to confirm that cars recommending the latter are the result of the car companies (all of them, apparently) being in cahoots with the oil companies (ditto).

I use P21S, buy a new jar about every three years, and wouldn't even consider buying something not intended for my Porsche's finish just to save $0.50 per month.

I have no comment on the P21S vs S100 conversation but

THIS STATEMENT IS COMPLETELY FALSE, PLEASE DON'T LISTEN TO THIS GUY!

If your engine requires premium fuel and you continually use 87 Octane you will cause detonation in your engine from the fuel igniting too early. Engines that require premium fuel have a higher compression ratio and need higher octane fuel to allow the fuel to be compressed that much before igniting. Over a period of a couple years your engine will be completely toast. It will happen even faster than a couple years if your car is supercharged or turbocharged.

It works the other way to. If you don't require a premium fuel and use it any way you get an incomplete burn and that causes all kinds of problems to.

I know people that use premium in their vehicles even thought their engines don't require it. They do this because they think the gas is better and will keep their engines clean. These same clowns think Zaino is the best thing ever to so go figure ha ha.
