Gotta LOVE IT!
SpoiledMan said:I thinks it's because of all the ads in his signature on another forum and all the positive reviews of what appear to be free products that he *appears* to be a shill.

justin30513 said:So the reasons I'm getting slack it because Im sent 20 bucks in free products?
That would be jealousy?
Hope not.....

justin30513 said:I'm not calling YOU jealous at all. Please don't take me attacking you SM.
Please.
SpoiledMan said:OK, cool. Just some advice. What usually happens when someone reviews a product that they received for free is that they state so in their review. I think that if you do that in the future that you wont have problems such as this. :hifive:
White95Max said:Maybe it's just me, but washing the car with what is essentially a foam PC pad doesn't seem like a good idea. Where is the dirt/grit to go? There's no nap. And it certainly seems like the grit would be more difficult to rinse/clean out of foam pores than from between the fibers of a chenille/sheepskin mitt.
Also, I find it much easier to clean lug nut holes with a fibrous medium such as a sheepskin mitt, rather than trying to shove a bunch of foam into the hole. The bunches of foam will not contour to the lugs and walls like a fibrous material could.
No, I have not tried this product.
White95Max said:I'd rather remove fibers from emblems than have to repolish a panel to remove new swirls that were caused by trapped dirt.
Edge will refund my money minus shipping costs, so it's not worth it to me. I could just wait until one of my PC pads starts to separate from the velcro, stick my hand between there, and wash my car with it. But...I won't.I have tried lots of things, and prefer sheepskin mitts for the overall quality of wash and ease of use. And I rarely have to pick fibers out of emblems. The Excel sheepskin mitt I've been using to clean wheels for the last year is just starting to fall apart.
One more thing...I'm confused on how a foam pad could effectively clean tires. Maybe it could clean my tires satisfactorily, but not a typical client's tires. Those often require some pretty heavy scrubbing with a tire brush to remove all the built-up dirt, oil, etc... The smooth surface of a foam pad would seem like it'd smear the contaminants around, rather than picking them up and removing them from the tire.
justin30513 said:I have not experienced any scratched or swirls on any color or finish.
BTW.......isn't wool used in buffing pads too.....cutting pads I believe.
So you can see how a pad will remove clear coat but can't remove dirt from rubber?
hooked said:I'm new to detailing but I wonder what the chatter was about Microfiber. Nowadays, it's the only material that should ever touch your paint. But what was going on when people first started using it? There must have been some people that swore by their 100% American-Made cotton bath towels and diaper cloths that said why would anyone use polyester to dry and polish their paint?
