I'm lost....Where is the first part of this review?

What? This is a review after a few uses. Not too much of a review, I know, but mainly a warning of this product.

How did you use it?

How did you clean it?

Any notable defects upon purchase?

What kind of soap did you use it with?

Where was it stored?

Maybe you should contact Meguiar's about this one. They stand behind all of their products. In times like these, I have had new products on the way within a couple of days.

I used it to wash the top sections.

I rinsed it out in a bucket and with the hose sprayer.

When I received it, the cotton stuff was already shedding.

I only used NXT with it.

I stored it in my garage in a basket with my other mitts.

I would contact Megs, but it was only like $5. I'm sure they would get me a new one, but like I said it was only $5, plus when I have seen then at stores they are all the same and shed quite a bit.

Read my review-this wash pad SUCKS. It sheds worse than a long haired dog in spring. Megs should pull this product from the market. Megs is well aware of the shedding.

I had a turtle wax chenile pad similar to this. The outer stitching failed after a few months so I removed it from the sponge and used the chenile itself to clean wheels and the sponge to apply armor-all to my wheel wells.

Just because it sucks doesn't mean you can't get some alternative use out of it :D

So they basically said they all suck. :(

Negative.

Find a chenille mitt/pad that does NOT shed. Every single one I have purchased (regardless of brand) has shed the first time. I then give it a run through with my other terry or 100% cotton towels and let it go through the dryer.

Voila! No more lint/shedding.

The shedding isn't a problem if you wash it first. The main problem I have had with the Meguiars chenille pad is that after a while the foam pad inside compresses so chenille covering hangs loosely. I carry 4 pads with me and rotate them out after a couple cars and the problem takes about a month to surface.

Same exact problem with the Vroom pads at Target. I suspect Meguiars and Target might be buying them from the same vendor.

Cotton chenille is my personal choice of mitts. I put them in the washing machine after every use and I don't see much shedding. They don't really last that long but definitely more than 7 times. They do lose their plushness quite quickly but that doesn't seem to effect how well they work. I'd say toss them after about 25 uses. Works out ok per wash.

If you don't like it, don't use it. Meguiar's might let you return it for a different product. I guess it's worth a try.

I would be calling Megs customer service if I was you. I had a similar problem with their Duo Glass MF towel that was falling apart. They ended up sending me two new towels for my trouble.

I just get a bunch at Wal-Mart for around $3 each. They last about 10+ washes each before they start looking bad. I just throw them away after they start to look bad.
