What do you guys use to remove your polish and wax? I was always under the impression that MF are the best to use to remove polish residue and to buff off wax. Anyway I just got back a response from Irene @ TOL, when I was asking some questions about TS. She strongly recommended to buff out wax with either a terry or diaper. I just got some of PakShak's Ultra Fine MFs and figured these would be best for wiping off my wax, but now i'm second thinking it. Any second opinions on this topic would be appreciated :xyxthumbs

Thank you Irene for that response. Sound like Trade Secret is a nice wax to work with. I just have one question concerning your application and removal. You said let it haze and remove with a terry or diaper. Doesn't that seem to be taking a step backwards in technology?
From what I have gathered on the detailing forums from enthusiasts as well as the professionals is that MF are pretty much superior in every way then your standard terry pads and diapers. Especially for your paint; i.e. removing polish, wax, etc. I found that very weird that you wouldn't recommend the use of a MF.

Irene's repsonse:
John, I hate to say it, but your sources are incorrect in recommending MF to buff-off fresh wax of any kind. MF is designed to "pull-off" oils, grease, or any smearing residue. It doesn't discriminate between these films and wax. You will be removing the wax you just applied! Once the wax has cured overnight, it's perfectly fine to wipe with MF. We do offer a suede MF towel and bonnet that can be used on fresh wax, but they have zero texture and slide across the wax.
MF isn't the "end all" when it comes to towels. Nothing can compare with MF for glass cleaning, but I still believe the right terry towel is more absorbent for drying, more efficient for removing polishes, and diapers win hands-down, for waxing. I only recommend a terry pad for applying paint cleaners, if one doesn't have a machine. Waxes are best applied with foam.
Also, on the high-end waxes. Let them start to haze before you remove.
