I posted about this earlier, and now I have more questions. I put Gold Class wax on a black car, and it looked stunning. The next day, I QDed it with Final Inspection and added a layer of #26. After I buffed out the #26, it looked bad. Big swirls were everywhere in any light condition. So, at the suggestion of an Autopian, I removed a little section of the wax using rubbing alcohol, then I QDed to clean it up. That spot was as swirl free as a black car can get (except when I looked at it under high intensity lights, I could see some little scratches and tiny minute swirls).
Any clue as to how the #26 gave the swirls after the perfect Gold Class finish?
Obviously, the swirls are in the wax, so what should I do? Dawn wash and re-wax, and this time, not top with #26? The weekend before last, I used FI-II and Meg.'s #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 with the PC. Would it be safe to apply some more #9 2.0, and possibly the FI-II, or is that too much abrasive after doing that only a few days ago? I would like to remove the minute scratches and tiny swirls I found with the high powered lights. Thanks!
