Not in so many words, but I think that would be pretty close to my thoughts.CHARLES are you saying that you don't have a problem with using 4-1 mixed 1 ounce in a gallon as a rinse-less wash but you would be afraid to use 3 ounces mixed in 32 ounce of water to do the same thing.
IMO, we are talking apples to oranges for process.
4 in 1 as a rinseless wash, (1 oz. per gallon), uses a soaking wet wash mit/sponge/MF whatever. that picks up the dirt from the vehicle and releases it in the wash or rinse bucket. The drying towel does just one thing, it dries the surface.
When using S&W, the drying/wiping towel is actually picking up the dirt from the vehicle and retaining it. You need to keep changing to a clean towel surface to prevent marring. The S&W has proven to me that it will pick up that dirt into the towel with no problem.
The 4 in 1 at 3 oz. per 32 oz. of water may do the same thing, but as of now, I'm not yet convinced it will do the same job as the S&W.
I think I'll let someone else continue the experiment for me.
