Pro Pad Questions

I just received all three of the pro pads: wool, orange and blue. The orange and blue pads seem significantly different than their non-pro counterparts. Specifically the lack of the stiff black foam backing like the UNOPAD and POXYPAD and that the orange pad is unusually stiff. I don't think even my LC flat orange pad is this stiff.

In the product's description on the site it only mentions use with a rotary, but here on the forums, I was lead to believe it will work with the FLEX. In the Youtube how-to video, I can see that the UNOPAD is fairly soft; I can see it compress with little pressure. I bought these pads to use with my FLEX DA. I tried out the orange today with UNO on some glass that had light waterspots. I found that the UNO cut extremely well, but working the pad was difficult due to its stiffness. Will I have problems with this combo when I work on paint?

Any help would be appreciated.

You shouldn't have any problem with using the pad on paint and the results will be amazing. These pads were designed just for the HD Line to give you the best results possible.:buffing:

The backing is different on both. The smaller pad you would use for the DA and the larger one has a beveled back to center the pad so when using a High Speed Polisher to control it when polishing. As of the pad they are the same but for different machines. I may have understood the question sorry..........

That's what I was getting at. The larger one is designed for a Rotary. Will it work with a FLEX DA the same as the smaller UNOPAD would? Are there any adjustments in technique needed for optimal results?

I see no reason why it would need a different technique. I hate stiff orange pads with the rotary.:har::har::har::har::har:

OK... I'll definitely give the combo a whirl as soon as it warms up a bit. I was just a little worried that I had jumped the gun and bought the wrong pad for my FLEX.
