Porsche 911T Cabrio vs It's hot!

Hey everyone; first "click n brag" in awhile; been super busy. I often wonder if other detailers notice as time goes by you get less and less "long" details (multiple polishing steps, 6+ hours) and get more and more "maintenance wash & waxes", seems like 5 of the 6 days a week I work now are filled with repeat washes. Good for business I guess. Anyway, onward.

Today was a 2004 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. It was 32c (90f) and very humid, so it was a good sweat! Overall condition was pretty good; the owner is actually way ahead of the game since he reads Autopia and knows about claying, sealing vs waxing, etc.. but the car hadn't been re-sealed since right after it was purchased. Light to moderate swirling, a good amount of road tar on the rear section; nothing major. Process:

Wash with ONR

Clay (seems like all my "clays" lately have been pretty serious!)

IP/white via PC

Werkstatt Prime Strong/white via PC

Acylic Jett buffed off with Trigger

A couple observations; first Prime+AJ/AJT look incredible on silver. I was even surprised at how much I liked it. The pics don't do it justice at all. Second, I really like Poorboys NL in interiors (id been using exterior only), however Zaino Z10 was bugging me today; left a bunch of spots on the leather. Luckily Leatherique got those out. Oh, lastly I didn't have access to water, so the wheels were tough (tons of break dust on these P-cars!); I cleaned with using Poorboys APC un-diluted and about 50 terry cloths! :)

A pic of my car chillin' in the garage. It came off the camera like this, obviously it's way over-exposed but I thought it was cool. :)

Cheers.

Picus, The P-car looks very deep!

So did you apply AJ with a foam app to the entire car then remove it with AJT?

Whoops no, I applied AJ via a grey finishing pad then buffed off with AJT.

That paint looks unreal.

Beautiful car and great detail.

How do you like PoorBoys APC for the wheels?

It worked really well, I didn't want to use an acid based cleaner since I couldn't spray the wheels afterwards, so I just sucked it up and applied the APC liberally then wiped and wiped and wiped. The insides of the wheels were  but they came out well.

Thanks guys.

That thing looks sick!!! Great job! I just cleaned a metallic gray 05' Turbo Cab yesterday that I'm about to post up.

I love that picture of your hood too!

Looks incredible! The wetness is amazing. I just bought a new Silver car and was planning on using Prime/AJ for its first detail. Your work solidifys my decision. Great job.

pretty pretty car!! good job on the detail!

not a fan of the convertable top IMO all 911s should be hard top! leave the soft top to the boxter

+1

I like the 911s to be hardtops. I'm not a big fan of convertibles.

I'm not a big fan of them with the tops up either; but I like them a lot with the top down. :)

What doesn't look better with their top down? :LOLOL

That silver looks incredibly wet! Sick job!
