Hey everyone; first "click n brag" in awhile; been super busy. I often wonder if other detailers notice as time goes by you get less and less "long" details (multiple polishing steps, 6+ hours) and get more and more "maintenance wash & waxes", seems like 5 of the 6 days a week I work now are filled with repeat washes. Good for business I guess. Anyway, onward.
Today was a 2004 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. It was 32c (90f) and very humid, so it was a good sweat! Overall condition was pretty good; the owner is actually way ahead of the game since he reads Autopia and knows about claying, sealing vs waxing, etc.. but the car hadn't been re-sealed since right after it was purchased. Light to moderate swirling, a good amount of road tar on the rear section; nothing major. Process:
Wash with ONR
Clay (seems like all my "clays" lately have been pretty serious!)
IP/white via PC
Werkstatt Prime Strong/white via PC
Acylic Jett buffed off with Trigger
A couple observations; first Prime+AJ/AJT look incredible on silver. I was even surprised at how much I liked it. The pics don't do it justice at all. Second, I really like Poorboys NL in interiors (id been using exterior only), however Zaino Z10 was bugging me today; left a bunch of spots on the leather. Luckily Leatherique got those out. Oh, lastly I didn't have access to water, so the wheels were tough (tons of break dust on these P-cars!); I cleaned with using Poorboys APC un-diluted and about 50 terry cloths!
A pic of my car chillin' in the garage. It came off the camera like this, obviously it's way over-exposed but I thought it was cool.
Cheers.
