If there the foam pads I think they are (and this is very typical of most pads) they are actually sanded in the end process, to ensure a more uniform buffing surface. What your exeriencing is just the sanded particles which may have become embedded into the foam cells.....next time you have a new pad, just run it on your hand at about 4 or 5, until the "dust clears"......MorBid said:Optimum Foam Pads: Tend to shed foam (like a dust) when in use

Also, if your using the pads a little on the dry side, it can cause unecessary attrition, and abrade the foam prematurely. A simple squirt of H2O in the beginning, can help the product of choice, impregnate the foam cells much easier.
Sorry for temporarily jacking the thread......

That's not to accuse you of using it improperly. It just surprises me to hear that after all the good results I've gotten from it. :nixweiss

I know its just me using it incorrectly but I don't like it, I just can't see the point of polishing for 2-3 times as long as I would with a.n.other polish. In the UK we don't get too much heat and direct sunlight that would necessitate it.
I'm not slating it as I know many love this its just me!
