Poor Boy's NL vs TR

I originally thought the NL was for interiors while TR was for exterior.
After reading the labels, it seems they are interchangable.
Is this correct?

The car is new, this week-end will be the first interior cleaning (first exterior wash was last week-end.)
Since the trim doesn't need to be "restored", should I just use the NL?
I want to keep the matt finish both inside and out.
Must have the best protection from the Florida heat and sun (tinting next week.)
Plus last as long as possible, since I won't have the time to clean/protect every week.
ArmorAll worked wonderfully (except shiny) fine on my former 15 year old car.
Want to do as good or better on the new car.

Oh, I have glossy, genuine imitation, plastic wood on the interior, what is this made of?
This I want to keep shiny.
Use NL or what?

Also, the labels say these are alright for tires.
Which of these should I use on tires?

Thanks again guys.
Suzanna

Yes they are but you want to use NL on your interior not TR the NL smells better and isn't as shinny as TR good luck! as for tires I use B&B another PB product IMO B&B is the best I have used so far the main reason I use it is because it doesn't sling off if allowed ample time to dry not like some of the OTC I have used in the past...

if you like the matted finish on your cars inside then NL is the one..apply and then buff to make it even and to leave a nice matted finish....TR can also be used on the inside but it a high gloss product so that's not what you are looking for...as for the rubber NL will work just fine but TR is really a better product will help keep the rubber moist in that hot FL sun...same process apply to the rubber and buff to a clean even shine....For the tires the TR would be the best IMO but I like shiny tires NL again for matted....However..either are really the best choice...I would look at PB B-n-B for that its the one I use and can be buffed for the matted finish...

Your trim I'm guessing is the plastic wood kind that is clear coated to keep that shinny. I would use any decent polish like PB P-w-C that's my choice or pro-polish both will do the job...yo can treat this the same as your painted areas.

I think that I got all the answers:)

I didn't realize the products had significant odors.
I've leather interior - don't want to lose the smell.

Now what do I do?

Thats easy get some Poorboy's World Leather Stuff has been developed to be your one-step Leather, Vinyl and Rubber cleaner, conditioner, and protectant.this came right from Steves web site so this is what you use on leather BTW is smells like leather :)

And how long does LS last?
Or any other leather product?

I know I have the other stuff, but I can let my husband use it.
He doesn't care, he'll use anything.

I'm the anal, research and decide type.
Of course, once my research is done, it's tough for me to change.
(But I can change eventually.)

So, I don't need to do the interior this week.
The sun hasn't started baking yet.
The dust doesn't show.

LS smells good, that's what it has going for it.
Anything else?

Hi Suzanna,
I try and condition my leather every 4 to 6 weeks,i normaly won't go more then 8 weeks at the most..

NL leaves a nice Matte finish,be sure to buff it out after you have applied it.
I wouldn't use anything too glossy on the dash.
i hate when it glares/reflects of the windshield

I'm with Joe on this one condition your leather on a regular interval is what keeps it nice for the duration of the time you own the car....For me I use LS every 4 to 6 weeks...How long dose it last? I'm sure not quite that long but its enough to keep the leather in great shape....The smell that I have seen will not take away from the new car / leather smell you currently have...NL is a great product it dose have a sent but I have found that my customers love it...it will linger for a while but will fade in a day or two as for lasting inside I see the effect of it for weeks, but I clean mine on a regular bases. On the outside this depends on how you store the car and the weather conditions...In the hot summer FL sun it won't last but a week or two...so I would again say that TR is a better fit for the outside rubber...The my .02

LS on leather seats.
NL on dash and doors.
TR on exterior black trim, mud flaps and tires.

Do I have it right?

New subject:
The gaskets on the door and trunk get TR?
Someone told me to use silicone spray to keep it flexible.

Suzanna
who is dense but wants to get it right.
