Pollen!

I think I might be going crazy looking at all the pollen and tree sap everywhere. I don't remember it being this bad this early here in VA. I have about enough time once a week to clean things up.

With the pace of this weather I will be performing a wash, clay and wax every weekend until it slows down. I do not have a garage and carports are not allowed where I live.

Anyone else going crazy as me? How do you keep your sanity?

I'll admit I was angry today walking to my car at work, car was detailed on Saturday and today it has a THICK layer of pollen on it.

The pollen is getting me two ways. One my car and its acting up my allergies AGAIN.

thats the same thing that happened to me.

Same thing for me too......and I hate to use the windshield washer fluid to clear off the windshield after I have just washed my car and the only thing making it dirty is the stupid pollen.

yikes. i havent used my wipers ever since i bought my car two years ago.

yeah im here in virginia beach, and the pollen is just as high of a level as it is inland. my car stays in the garage but those few moments that the other garage door goes up, a dust of pollen lands on my car )=

ONR!

i'm not in charlottesville right now but I hear it's horrible for pollen right now. even up here in pittsburgh my green car has a layer or yellow on it. makes me sick, as to what can be done I'm here to find out...also if you find out anything for allergies my fiacee is suffering something horrible

I have a black truck (of course). After washing and waxing the car in the AM, it is now completely covered in pollen at my work parking lot. Got to love the Mid-Atlantic.

i have a black mustang gt. just washed, clay bar, wax, polish... left my top down overnight and had pollen all over the car, including the interior!!! never seen pollen like that before. the night before there was nothing on my car at all. go figure.

Car was parked all weekend, now completely cover in pollen, drove it on the freeway and a lot came off but it's still noticably there. ok to ONR? or need to rinse it off first?

Best things to do is use a California car duster work pretty good for pollen, other than that only thing you can do is wash and curse the pollen haha but if we didn't have pollen we wouldn't have plants and flowers and whatnot.

Wonder if a yellow car will show pollen? J/K I feel for you guy's, I live in the middle of the Pacific ocean and don't have that problem.

This is one of those things that if you could invent a product that kept pollen off of your car, you would make a million bucks.

I know your pain with pollen and I wish I had the cure all. Rinsing with a cr spotless is one way to handle this problem. Another method is to QD. I am not a big California duster fan myself, but many swear by it as well.

As far as a products ability to keeping a car totally pollen free, that is something based in science fiction right now. I would think that you would need some sort of an ion field generated around the car that would repel items such as pollen (I love science).

As for today, many of FK1's products claim to have anti-static properties, which does help a small amount. In lieu of that, you would think that there would be a product that would allow the pollen to just blow off when you drive. Now that would be nice for us here in VA.

I to am feeling everyones problem with the pollen..

Washed, clay bar, wash, color x, wax, Sat/Sun and then come out of work Monday and there is pollen all on the car... Well I took care of that when I got home ;)

I did half of my hood (white DD) with 1000P and the other half with a very slick sealant and there was a substantial decrease of pollen accumulation on the FK side. There was a line right down the middle of the hood that even non-detailers noticed.
