Plumber's van: mud and possible feces cleanup

Price: $135 to clean the cabin only (no exterior detailing, no cleaning the cargo area)

Hours: 2 detailers working for 3 hours (6 man hours)

Materials: APC, Vapor Steamer, painters brushes, Meguiar's Hyper Dressing, lots of steel wool, toothbrushes, maybe 100 rags.



This had not been cleaned in a very long time and there was likely feces on the floor of the van (multiple plumbers share this van). When materials and labor are tallied, this was a money LOSER. I thought that the steamer could finish this job in 3 hours. Lesson learned.

nothing worse than a misquote, I know if I think 5 hours and it runs over to 7, I am cussing myself for 2 hours and would do anything just to get it finished. Nice Work on the doo-doo!
 
Awesome turnaround, that's one of the biggest night and day differences I've seen on here. I'm curious to see more photos now to see this transformation.

Drench with all purpose cleaner (Simple Green would work fine here). Let sit for 3 minutes. Remove gently with very fine (0000) steel wool. Repeat, repeat, repeat.



Some spots of the floor were so beat down with dirt that we had to spray black spray paint over them. The pedals would not come out perfect--we sprayed them black too.
 
Huge turnaround! My parents in law own a plumbing company, not sure I would want to detail any of their trucks!
 
That looked more like a crime scene then the inside of a plumber's van. Nice job! Did you wear a Hazmat Suit and are your shots all up to date?
