Now I detail out of the tacoma. Lots of room, fast, handles really good, its handy, and I can tow a trailer with it.

I thought about getting an S4 avant, I still think It would be a good choice, just not for me.

i work out of my show truck... it brings alot of business.. especially at shows... i have the bedcover with everything carpeted underneath and keep everything back there in tubs..

i was going to use my mini truck to get started BUT its just that....a mini truck. its hella low and i cant fit anything cause the bed is cut out for the step notch. so i bought a big 12 passenger van from a friend who owns a demolition and construction company. i can fit everything in it, tank for water, generator, hoses, pressure washer, towels etc. its black and im putting my logos in red so it will stand out. and its always clean. and it was only $2500, plus i can write most of it off.....i hope :)

p.s. its also sweet for road trips, i just slide everything out and put the seats back in set up like a train style where the people in the back face eachother and off we go. my friends love it!

You guys really drive some nice Work cars... I use my 94 Olds 88.(plenty of room for all my gear) but I'll sometimes use the WRX if I know the job is small.

A Range Rover :grinno:.

Seriously though, my wifes DD and not a problem to date., best riding SUV around, and it'll keep up with an FJ off road too. Plus, plenty of room AND class. Id like a Cayenne Turbo Also, or Joyrides 4.8is.

hey guys i saw this post all the way in the back so i guess me typing in it will bring it back up......So im planning on using my Lincoln towncar......Getting some decals that i can put on and off.....so when i go work i can put them on and when its just a normal day dont have them on.....im starting my moblie service......

so will my Lincoln towncar with 20's look good as detailer service car.......??

I've always felt that a detailer driving a flashy car would make his/her clients feel that they were paying too much.

I have my E 350 Super Van for the deduction (and it carries everything). I did just as well when I started with my '71 Ford Galaxie Wagon, and then my '91 Mazda 626.

If I had to chose something cool, it would be an old panel truck (mid 50's-late 60's Ford or Chevy), or even (don't laugh) a late 70's Pinto panel wagon with the porthole window.

You don't see them ever, and they have room for lettering. With some nice old Cragars, they look OK too.

yeah I have too much stuff to get rid of my truck....vacuum, 3 meguiars bags full, two 18 gallon bins for products and towels, ladder, ezup tent, etc...

Sorry but if I saw a detailer driving an Element, I would seriously question their ability, let alone their sanity. :nixweiss

Hey! The ding guy I use drives an element. He does an EXCELLENT job.
