Paul's new Wax has been introduced to the UK

There are quite a few non detailing products that use silicones that are actually designed to rubbed into your hands though. e.g barrier creams, skin cream. I don't know if it's still done but there are reports, if you search on google, of Pizza Hut putting silicone on their cheese to make it shiny!

Yees, and these creams and cheese is just as unnecessary for our organism. I've never used hand cream or lotion after bathing in my life and have absolutely no problems with my skin. I use lotion on my face maybe 5-6 times a year, and that's it. I don't massage those horrible ingredients into my skin.

Not knocking you Bence, and certainly wouldn't want to eat a pizza covered in silicone enriched cheese myself. I'm just trying to make a point that silicone is used in every day life as well as detailing products.

Yes, I try to avoid it in the everyday life too. Nasty stuff accumulates to frightening levels during the years, and when you think about homeopathy, where tiny amounts working wonders...

Do you have a silicone free computer then? :D

Silicone fluids and silicium are quite different; and BTW I hate silicone too when I have to push the baggies around under someone's Zagato double-bubble styling element...

:D

wow there is some greta info here,

I am with bence on this one (although i dont protect myself aswell as he does).. we are exposed to a ton of chemicals in our world... lots that should not be there. Our bodies are screaming in pain, things like inflamitory, autoimune and other dieseases can often be related to the substances we inject. This is from food and other things (such as detailing chemicals)... its crazy what we put into our bodies that it dosent want...

Detailing chemicals are just that, chemicals. We are absorbing them into our skin and cells, they cause damage. dont kid youself.

Is there a need for panic, no i dont htink so, however its somthing to keep in the back of your mind next time you decide gloves or no gloves

Actually I'm with Bence too, I'm careful with the chemicals that I use when detailing and I'm very careful with the chemicals I consume in my food. But I just don't share his hatred of silicone (although I draw the line at having it my food!!!).
