Why would it matter that you talk trash on a member of the forum in a thread with his full name on it? I don't think i should have to explain why. Sorry if you don't understand why it's not even close to cool.
Lol, ok man.

Besides the fact that it's "SUPPOSED" to be again forum rules to bash like this thread has been doing....

I don't know why it didn't get locked down at the beginning.

Hi all,

Nice posts!

Kind Regards

Paul Dalton.

Yes, please don't let the negative outweigh the silent but positive that would love to see you post more around here. You are a true marketing machine!

All I can say is that I would kill for the kind of press Paul Dalton gets, so props to him for making it happen.

On that note I'm going to make sure that I keep away from you!:grinno:

So, would the business insurance not cover such a scenario if it was to happen? And, for as much as he charges for details, there is simply no excuse to overlook the proper tightening of wheel lugs had he offered this service. Everything should be double checked or triple checked at those rates.

they could deny a claim such as this, because technically you were insured for detailing damages or driving the car, not performing mechanic's duties on the car. R&R is not something that is considered part of a "typical layman's" detail.

Not true. They'd cover it 100%. Just like if you took the wheels off your own car and they fell off. You'd want to make sure you had high limits of liability. Anyone that owns a $200-300K++ vehicle and dies/gets hurt is bound to be worth alot of money and sue for as much as possible.

I have high limits, however, my representative specifically asked me if I would be working on cars mechanically. I said no I would not. Answering 'Yes' to that question would no doubt raise my rates. I agree that taking wheels off of a detail customer's car is not a good idea.

I dont post very often, and I am not a pro detailer.

But I am a little bummed and embarrassed knowing that Paul read all this negative stuff people think about him. It just seems like a lot of jealousy. He does great work and knows how to market it. Any pro detailer (I assume) would love to be washing exotic cars for $5000. Paul knows how to market himself and his product. Good for him.

Paul, keep it up.

I am New here but I am going to attest that Paul Dalton(Miracle Detail) Definately knows what he is doing!! Good for him and his market strategy, Have any you guys checked out his site, this guy got it going on, I am sure that many of you would love working on the cars he does, So stop hating, Paul is good press for the detailing community, there are way to many so called pros out there, pretty much every one is a detailer with a hose, bucket polisher etc.

I always do wheels last

I do them first. That way, any dressing overspray when doing the fenderwells that gets on the paint is washed off when I wash the car. I also do the interior detailing before exterior detailing. Whatever works best for you though.

The first 20 or so steps to me are one single step. Washing the car.

If it is worth thousands of dollars to someone to have Paul detail their car, then Paul's prices are right in line with his market. He is obviously a very good detailer and even better salesman.

Any of you all seen the video of the guy that washes/waxes high end cars for ridiculous prices with only his hands (no tools or mitts)? I wishi I could remember where that video was.... Anyway, this thread reminded me of him. There's no way I can hate on someone who gets business. Whether they are charging $1 or $1k. If they're good at what they do, htey're good. I could only pretend to hate out of jealousy that I couldn't charge that much ;)

washes a car with no tools? really?

I know there are alot of people who wax by hand (no applicator pad), pauld dalton is one , well atleast in the videos. im not sure how great of a job you could do on wheels and stuff without anytools...

I have a feeling you are thinking of waxing by hand, but icould be wrong

Next to the words "no tools" I said no mitts, which would pertain to washing.

I guess I could be wrong and it could only be waxing as I haven't seen it for a while but I could have sworn he only applied things by hand.

I have seen videos of him using sponges to wash a car, a brush of some sort to wash wheels, and use a rotary to polish the paint. I believe waxing is the only time he uses his bare hands.
