P21S Paintwork Cleanser Questions

I just ordered some and would like to know how community member's experience with this has been, especially regarding removal of acid rain spotting. Another question - it says 'prepare your vehicle for fresh wax' - OK to use a sealant after this, right?

From the posting of the product on Autogeek.net
Here are features of P21S Paintwork Cleansing Lotion:
Effective for Removing Spotting. This thick, rich cream is a brilliant choice for removing water and acid rain spotting, swirl marks, and minor surface imperfections. The formula is gentle enough to warrant a scratch-free surface after use, but powerful enough to remove old wax and prepare your vehicle for fresh wax.

Thanks for your help!!! :w00t:

I have the S100 SEC product which is at least similar to the P21S version. I can't address the acid rain issue as we don't experience that problem in my area. Removal of
Water spotting, ... and minor surface imperfections
are easily attainable with this product. Swirl marks may be a bit of a reach. I think the term gentle used in their description is just about right. I use it with the PC and a polishing pad. You can't ask a product to be any easier to work with. The "Shine Enhancing Cleanser" product name is also very accurate.

Edit: Forgot this point...

IMO if you are looking for the best durability of the sealant, the answer is no. Otherwise, sure why not?

Same here.
I don't know about using it under a sealant since I used it with S100 Carnauba.
The two products together did a great job.

it should work fine under poorboys sealants and probably #21

The various sealants that I use are PB EX's, UPP and WG. I typically do anywhere from x2 to x3 initially, then reapply 1x or 2x at intervals every couple weeks. I drive my car 150 to 300 miles daily @ ~60 avg mph, so I feel the durability doesn't last as long as it would on city street driven cars.

Should be fine, right?

try some collinite over it

Over the sealant? I've been temp'd to get some but haven't. What kind of look does it give,ie, does it produce a clearer-flake-popping look or maybe a deeper glossier look (Natty's vs Natty's Blue, so to speak)?

this is an awesome paint cleaner
im impressed everytime i use it
this is a product to use when you want all waxes stripped off and are going to polish or rewax correct? Otherwise just use like a PB SS&S?

P21s/S100 GEPC/SEC are excellent prewax cleaners. My go to is VM but I still use and really like these two cleaners. Yes they are the same thing just S100 is cheaper and available at motor cycle stores.

OK, can you explain to me if your go to is VM and that is a glaze correct? But washing the vehicle is the first step so I am confused that you are prefering VM to P21S shampoo.
Am I missing something?

P21S Paintwork Cleanser and S100 Shine Enhancing Cleanser are not shampoos. They are both chemical paint cleaners. They may have a small amount of abrasive, but I doubt it.

VM also has cleaners

VM, P21S GEPC, S100 SEC, all three of these products are prewax cleaners. All three have light abrasives, chemical cleaners, and glaze. They are very similar products. VM also has a wax in it so it is more of a one step. VM is a little more aggressive than the other two.

As cleaners, would you say there are any significant differences or advantages between KAIO and P21S/S100 Paint Cleansers?

One difference, from reading the web sites, is that KAIO indicates that it removes oxidation while the web descriptions for the P21S/S100 products don't mention oxidation whats so ever.

KAIO is great for a cleaner/prep that can be used as a base for anything. If theP21S/S100 products do contain a glaze, (which I'm not too sure of), it seems like they would be a better product to use with a wax rather than a sealant. I have only used S100 SEPC under S100 Carnauba and it did a great job. KAIO under S100 did a great job just as it does under UPP or any other wax/sealant that I have applied after the KAIO. Because of the universal application, I have stuck with the KAIO. Fortunately, oxidation isn't a problem on my vehicles so I can't comment on that from personal experience.
Jngrbrdman has some pretty good pictures of what can be done with KAIO on an oxidized red pick-up. I'll try to find them and post a link.
Here's the link.
