Optimum Opti-Seal VS Zaino Clear Seal

Based on the bottle of Z-CS I got (not sure if it was a reformulated version or not), Opti-Seal is a much better product. Noticeably more gloss and shine and cheaper per ounce.



Durability and ease of use are similar.
 
i have the zcs and only use it on my wheels.

not matter what kind of aplicator i use not matter how little or how much i use it allways leaves a resedue.

i allways have to wipe the car back down after several hours and i havent tryed the opti seal so i can say but i really dont like the zcs.

Use a foam applicator and you will get no residue. Try a test, put them both on a shelf for a while, one will become non clear, try it. :)
 
ZCS will streak if it comes in contact with water but eventually the streaks disappear. Both are good products but I suspect that ZPC has the better UV system.
 
I've used both over the last year. Opti-Seal seems to last a little longer, but neither is a match for conventional wax, or sealant.

I've got some ZCS that I've had sitting on the shelf for a couple of years if you want to try it. I'm probably not going to use it. Take that for what it's worth.

I have compared both ZCS and OS side by side on a Corvette I detailed a while back. I heard that Zaino had reformulated Clear Seal, so I'm not sure which version it was. In a side by side comparison, the Opti Seal outperformed on both looks and beading. The Opti Seal was noticeably wetter looking and beaded water more too. The Zaino seemed to sheet more than bead, so not sure if that has anything to do with durability?



I use Opti Seal often on door jambs, glass, wheels and exterior plastics, but have never really used it as a standalone LSP, so I can't give you much input on the durability.



There both very easy products to use, so I'm sure you can't go wrong with either. You may also want to look into some G Techniq C2 Liquid Crystal Concentrate http://www.gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/exterior-coatings/c2-liquid-crystal-concentrate/. Supposedly it will last 6 months by itself and can be used as a quick detailer by diluting it with water (5% product to water). I just picked some up, so I have no idea on durability yet.

I've used the ZCS in the past a few times with very poor and disappointing results. It streaks no matter what applicator you use, how little amount you use, it reduces the look of a freshly sealed (Z2pro/Klasse/1Z Glanz) car and it's very expensive in germany too.(about 38€ which means nearly more than 45$)

If there are a few negative comments about a Zaino product online soon you will hear "oh, yes, but they've reformulated or improved it". This means no more than "buy it again moron, buy, buy!"

Now I'm using the Opti-Seal. Nearly no comparison! A very wet, long lasting look quite close to a good carnauba. Never had a streaking problem. 236ml costs about 18€/21$. I'm amazed of the results.Optimum has convinced me!

Highly recommended if you're looking for a WOWA product!
