optimum no rinse who has used it

Welcome to the forums!

I'm sure if you pull a search for ONR, you will find MANY results. Many of us have switched from conventional washing to ONR. In my opinion, it leaves the car more slick and is easy to use since I live at an apartment.

I have tried it, QEW,and DP's version. I love ONR, great cleaning ability and leaves a better finish than QEW IMHO. The only thing I dont like is the smell.

Duh, didnt look up previous links as its only just been released in Australia, forgot you guys have had it for a while

I just bought a small bottle to practice with for this coming Fall/Winter washes. Really works well! I was a little skeptical at first, but after a couple of uses, it is a very nice way to wash your vehicle.

I suppose for really dirty wheels, I would use a wheel cleaner + hose. I haven't tackled that issue yet.

If the tires are really dirty, I use E1 Wheel & Tire, scrub them, and I splash water on it with a bucket. If they're not that dirty, I dip my brushes in the wash water and scrub them onto the wheel/tire.

that's a lot of ONR! I only use 1 cap w/ 1 gallon to wash each vehicle. I can't imagine how long it will take me to finish my gallon

Does anyone use this with Zaino on their car? I have used different soaps with Zaino, but always found the Zaino soap works just a little better.

If you do use the ONR to wash a Zaino sealed vehicle, do you use straight ONR with water or do you throw in a lil Z7 into the bucket too. I am assuming anything other then ONR would defeat the whole no rinse.

I hate turning my driveway into a skating rink in the colder months and would love a better and quicker way to wash.

I have used Zaino with ONR and QEW with excellent results. I just used it as directed with nothing added and all was fine. A Z-6 QD afterwards always made things nicer.

ONR works fine with wheels, I get tons of brake dust (unavoidable) but the more you treat the wheels with a sealant or my fave FK 425 the better the ONR works on them.

I do the whole the car and reuse the water in the bucket to clean the wheels.

I use a spoke brush to clean the barrel inside, and then use the Meguiar's Gold Class wheel face brush.

I use a pesticide sprayer and spray the whole car afterwards with a diluted mixture of FK 146 to clear away water spots and add dust repellency. Its not bunk it works well.

One quick application of Aqua Wax and FK 425 to finish.

To think I use to mess with hoses, paste waxes. I do it all in 20 minutes now.

Thanks much for the info racingbeat. It does seem a little "odd" at first when I used the product (kept looking for my doggone hose connection LOL).

I've got some cars to do this weekend and will keep practicing. Once weather turns cold, I should be in good shape knowledge-wise.

How do you guys feel about DP's version?

I hated it. I usually like DP's stuff, but it smelled worse, didnt feel as slick, didnt clean as well, or leave as good as finish as ONR. For me it goes:

1.ONR

2.QEW

3.DP

i think onr is a far better product than dp four in one and waterless wash. the smell is a little irritating at the time, lots of guys on here have used it for years. which is the only reason i gave it a whirl, i dilute it as qd and clay lube as well. very slick feel behind compared to traditional detergents.
