3M Adhesive Remover. If I can't get to it through the front I don't bother removing the wheel just for that. When I do remove wheels I usually just go by feel (worked in a tire shop and in my dad's garage for years so I have a lot of experience). Some wheels I am more cautious with and borrow a torque wrench. Either way it is recommended to re-torque after about 25 miles anyway, so I always recommend this to the customer to cover my a**.
