Old School (pre-2010) Autopians Check In!!!

For anyone that’s been on the board for a while it would be awesome to just have you say hi to let us know you still browse the forum. Let’s say anything prior to a join date of 2010. The 100th person will receive an Autopia short sleeve T-Shirt. (shipped free within the US)

Feel free to post a comment or 2 about how you found out about the forum and any memories from back in the day you’d like to share.

If I notice someone lurking and not posting :silenced: I’m going to call you out so you better start :typing:

Quoted for posterity. haha

Awesome idea, David! Flush out some of the true "OG" Autopians.... but since the forum/site only started in 1999, were there even 100 members that early on? We'd have no way of knowing for sure.

I first signed on sometime in late 2000 before the forum software switched and all accounts/posts were lost in translation.... then I lost touch until January '02. Not too many faces still posting that I remember from back in the day, but it would be great to hear from some of them!

Greetings,

Been around Autopia for some time now. Was on and off the site for the last few years. I was quite surprised at the changes and have been searching for threads trying to fill in the blanks, just curious about the major changes that have occurred, I guess I was more off than on during those years.

The active topic at that time was the creation of what I believe is now Ultima.

Much like in the past I find myself dropping in often to see the latest post. The convenience of being able to access via the smartphone has opened new doors, quite a bit different than in the past.

My detailing addiction was never cured, just drifted from the forum. Needless to say my income has taken a hit in the last two and half months as I try out several of the newest products and updated versions of some of the older products.

I am a marketers dream, as many of you probably are. Two weeks ago I finally took the plunge and went rinseless/waterless. Huge step for me! Now I have to try every RL/WW product out there.

Thanks for all the well written reviews and thanks for the shout out on this thread. It is good to be back.

Daily lurker here as well

I haven’t posted much over the years, but I have learned so much from this forum.

Registered so long ago and was active for several years, but then life caught up with me. Still lurk maybe 2 times a week.

I've been here from the beginning, actually was here BEFORE the beginning when David Bynon and I were just shooting emails back and forth before software was implemented to make a real forum.

I am officially member #3. :)
