NXT vinyl protection vs 303

Aurora 40:

My point is that the "polysiloxane" referred to is PDMS-- the same ingredient used in protectants such as 303 and Vinylex, among others. As such, NXT would be a similar product (water-based).

The higher the amount of PDMS, the better the product. 303 contains what is considered a high percentage of PDMS as I recall (around 20% or so IIRC)--so I doubt that NXT Protectant has 80% of an active ingredient--I haven't looked at the Meguiars MSDS, however.

And maybe my guess is wrong, and there is a difference between the polysiloxane referred to in the Meguiar's MSDS, and the polydimethylsiloxane that is the "active" ingredient in 303 and Vinylex, among others.

Snatchface:

Paraffins are distillates of petroleum. They are used for all kinds of things, including, as you noted, waxes. Cheese is often coated with paraffin wax.
