Not waxed for nearly two years, look what ONR can do!

That would be great... Typically what do you do to clean wheels when you are doing a car? To be more specific, are you waiting until your done doing the car and using the remaiing ONR to clean the wheels or something else? Also do you spray the wheel and wheel well with a cleaner when doing the wheels or just do everything with ONR? Lastly, some wheels can be very busy with the crazy designs out there. How are your completing the wheel cleaning method like the washing of the car? By that I mean with the car your using a sponge then following up with two towel passes, what about the wheels? I know this is a lot but I appreciate your time.

I clean the wheels and fenderwells first, not last. Obviously, I use a separate bucket of ONR for the body of the car. The reason I do the wheels first is when working outside, I have wind to deal with when dressing the fenderwells. Better to dress them first so any overspray is removed from the car during the wash process.

I have several different brushes and terry cloth towels that only see tire/fenderwell duty. Optimum Power Clean is compatible with ONR (OPC is a low sudsing APC) that works well on wheels and fenderwells that are very dirty.

What you will find is that once you give the fenderwells a good cleaning and dress them, if you maintain them with each wash they are very easy to clean.

Scott - bit the bullet and got the ONR :)

used it a few times but seem to have gone back to 2Bm for some reason, but used it again yesterday for my garage queen, and was reminded how well it cleans and easy it is to use.

I'm still struggling with wheels though, so a vid would be perfect. I used ONR in QD strength through a pump sprayer yesterday, sprayed all round the lightly dirty wheels and wiped over with a MF. Worked well but not sure about doing this on my DD where the wheels tend to get very dirty very quickly... How does it go with wheel brushes rather than cloths?

Here are some pictures...

Quick question that you may have covered, sorry if you have. I know you use the 2 towels to dry. Any reason you don't use like a WW towel? I have like 6 and was thinking of using them when I get my ONR. Or is it better to use the two microfiber towels? Thanks!!

Personally, I don't find most WW's to be particularly soft. Plus, I prefer to dry vehicles (even washing with a hose) with towels with a thicker nap than WW's have.

Hey scott, I have a question. In cleaning some of the messy wheels with ONR I am finding that I get brake dust the sits under the wheel on the ground and I dont want the customers to have stains forming from repeat wheel cleaning in that area of their driveway. Any suggestions? In past years I have always used a pressure washer, so the brake dust was able to spread out and not form stains. Also, I saw what you used to clean the Audi wheels, but could you run over what exactly you do and use start to finish on the wheels and the concentration of your ONR for the wheels. I have been using the same concentration on the wheels as I do with the car, but I have seen other comments using a higher concentration. Also have you ever used a grout sponge? I have heard people using this with the ONR and was wondering what your feedback might be... Thank you

To capture the brake dust and the water when using ONR I use puppy training pads. Roll the wheels over the pads, do your wheel clean up and away you go - no brake dust mess to clean up when done.

Your local pet store has packs of 12 pads up to 100 pads per box so buy the small pack of 12 and see if they work for you. Pads are about two foot square.

Great Tip!!! I may use these for applying dressing as well, so I don't get spots on the driveway.
