Not waxed for nearly two years, look what ONR can do!

Detailer's Choice Microfiber Contour Sponge. I get them at Big Lots for $2 each. The hold up a really long time too.

I was at my Big Lots this past weekend and they had them. They are super soft and pillow-like. I didn't pick them up but based on your experience, I should go back and grab a few.

I don't use ONR to wash my car. I use a traditional wash, but when I dry I spritz ONR on the wet panel and wipe down with my towels. I have it mixed in a QD dilution. It helps reduce towel induced marring and adds a nice pop and sacrificial protection.

When I was at Big Lots I bought the 2 pack of Detailers Choice Microfiber Applicator Pads. They were a $1.00 for a 2 pack! I bought 5 packs. They are great for interior dressing applications and wheel sealant/wax applications.

I wash like a whimp compared to your video. I use chenille microfiber mop head mitt and hold it against the paint fairly gently for fear of adding swirls. I will wash several times. I rarely get dirt showing up on the drying towel.

Thanks for the videos!

This is the reason why ONR is my favorite product. I used to hate washing in the heat, but now I do it mostly in the garage and sometimes I never break a sweat. I can't wait to use ONR tomorrow again even though there's t-showers in the forecast :)

Not only that, you can wash your car at night, in the garage using halogens. :bigups

Exactly... and I'll close the garage and turn on the fan so my neighbors don't think I'm crazy washing a car after 9pm. :rofl

The towel I was using has probably been washed 100 times, so it won't look all that new and clean no matter what. ;)

I was commenting on the fact that I use so little pressure against the paint yet I do not see dirt on the drying towel.

I do like ONR because you can do spot cleaning (like a hood/roof) after a bird drop attack or to remove water spotting.

I've noticed after washing with ONR that it does indeed seem to leave a little something behind. I have had no way of proving it, but I think that the video definitely points toward the fact that it does.

I've been thinking of using it as an interior detailer, especially since reading that superbee was thinking the same. I'll have to give it a shot.

The video was good. What was interesting too was the other videos on uTube dealing with ONR - well meaning I suppose, but much poorer procedures...one guy slopped on the ONR wash like it was a bucket wash...another 'washed' with no wipe down at all...the guy pushing a steamer, pandering to mobile detailers that the steamer and ONR (and a generator) was what they needed - jeez.

I usually use ONR to wash after I PW off all the grit (gravel road), but I have had good luck using it in a very simalar way as Scott. Geat vids, too.

great informative videos Scott - thanks

never used ONR, but I just cant get my head around how that many passes over the panel back and forth, wont produce swirls from the dirt it is picking up

having said that, that texas dirt just somehow doesnt look as bad as a week of UK road slime ;) If only ONR wasnt so damn expensive over here - $28 for 32oz :( - then I would be tempted to grab a bottle and try it. Not having rinsing would be a HUGE saver for me with ultra hard water and direct sun on my driveway from 7am until 7pm.

I need to check back over all the ONR threads and see how I might make it work...

EDIT

amazing what a quick call and a very helpful retailer can do :D 2oz sample on its way to try. REALLY hoping this might revlutionise regular cleaning for me :dance

I felt the same as I live in New Hampshire and in the winter the car is covered with salt and sand from the road treatments. But, I couldn't resist giving ONR a try as I was tired of hauling out the hose etc on a winter day above 32'. I mixed up a batch of ONR in a garden spray tank at the normal dilution of 1/2 oz pr gallon and use it as a pre wash wet down of the car when it is extremely dirty. I used it all last winter which was one of our worst in a few years and have not been able to find any swirl marks or micromarring in the paint.

That's the hardest part to get passed. It just seems *wrong*, and your head screams out "stop! What are you doing? Have you gone completely mental??" the whole time you're using it. You get passed it eventually. :)

Now about the sun.. you do live in the UK, right??? ;)
