No hose brainstorm...Opinions?

Due to my recent poor experience with QEW I’ve brainstormed a new “hose-less washing technique. I feel more comfortable and with more water and since I don’t have a hose and I don’t like constantly polishing to repair the damage from my lack of abilty to work QEW properly I cam up with something I think may work. I’d appreciate your opinions on this procedure...

I figure I can mix up some QEW in a spray bottle and pre-treat the dirty areas of the car then, using a pressurized garden sprayer do my initial rinse. Wash as usual (2 bucket), rinse with the sprayer. Dry as usual.

Basically it’s a normal wash just using a sprayer instead of a hose. Hopefully w/ the 2 buckets, the QEW, and 2 wash mitts this should be enough. I’m a bit worried about the pressure from the garden sprayer being enough. I know many folks on here use them for different applications and I was hoping for some input on this matter.

In addition I also have EO Bucket free car wash. Would this be an effective pre-treat? I’ve used it before as a bucket free wash and it works well. Plus it’s cheap and smells delicious.

I do a variation of that with a 1/2 gallon compressed sprayer. I use this method if my car is really dirty and I have to wash in the garage (winter time and it's too cold or dark outside). I think it iwll work finr.

You could also stop by the pay and spray and give your car a high pressure rinse before going home.

I think the EO bucketless wash needs to be rinsed.

or you could pick up one of those water sprayers that used to be popular props in the old slapstick comedies.. add some qew to that for your initial rinse, and if one of your neighbours strolling by happen to give you the "you'll wax the paint right off one day" comments then hit them with the qew! nyuck nyuck ;P

I found this thread too. Looks like i'm cool. I might try the soap in the sprayer.

ebpcivicsi-I was planning on doing a rinse but the EO stuff is kinda tricky to rinse off, i'll get leave it for the wheels (it's a great wheel cleaner, still requires washing, brushing but get's it all sudsy)

BTW- I've always wanted to comment on your civic, I like the JDM style. I'm a VW fanatic but I can appreciate this look, even a few VW guys for for the JDM look on thier Kraut-Kars.
