Well, I've made no secret of not being impressed by these microfiber-specific cleaners. I don't think MicroRestore or Pinnacle do much beyond standard detergent...
I'm sure not gonna tell you that you can't tell if it works for you or not, so please don't take this the wrong way. Heh heh, I know you can tell how a load of wash turns out

When I first tried it, I was ready to cry "snake oil!" as it didn't do much of anything for me either.
In my case it *does* work wonders, but (really *big* "but") I had to wash my MFs (and regular towels) in hot water over and over and over without detergent for an incredible number of cycles (many with distilled white vinegar) to get all the [stuff] out of them first. Once I got them decontaminated, the MicroRestore has kept them that way. Whenever I quit using it, after a few "regular" washes they start to stiffen up and quit absorbing again.
If the MicroRestore hasn't solved the problem, you might have a situation like mine, where sorta drastic measures are called for, at least initially.
CostaK- Maybe I'm just cynical (who, *me*

) but I'd say they carry them because some people will buy stuff from one manufacturer but not from another and it's all about offering products that will sell. And some people would rather buy stuff from one vendor over another if given the chance.
Like you, I wonder if there's any real *functional* difference in these products, but there are some vendors I'll gladly pay a little more to support.
