I must thank the people of this forum for helping me see the light. I lost my way there for a while and stopped using Blitz on top of Klasse. <span style='color: red'>WHAT WAS I THINKING ?? I used the blitz on my wifes Red Honda this past weekend and it looked awesome. (check out photo in gallery) I put another coat on tonight and it made it even better. I also put a coat of blitz on my truck this past weekend after using Klasse SG for several months without the topper. It made it look fabulous. The candy shine of Klasse alone is nice but doesn't compare to it with blitz on top. Just wanted to pass on a little of my enthusiasm for the path the people here have shown me. My car will never be the same again. Thanks everyone. :D
 
I stuck with the z-16 and used the eagle one foam applicators like I think YoSteve suggested and you now what it is the best tire dressing I've used. If you haven't tried it you must if you like the satin look. Those applicators work pretty darn well too.
 
I like the durability and affordability of Blitz wax, but I've grown weary of the white residue it leaves on black plastic and rubber. My favorite new wax is P21S concours wax. Great shine, easy apllication and no messy white stuff.

I love the depth and warmth that Blitz provides.



Plus its really durable for a carnauba.



Just keep on layering Blitz with several (3-7) days in between.



For $20 or so dollars, its a bargain, except the tin kinda is not good, but thank goodness for the stuff inside.

Totally agree with you Dave. Blitz is a great wax! Just make sure not to store the applicator INSIDE the tin can. Laters.

The same moisture that causes the tin to rust, also causes mold in the sponge. Also the mold breaks down the sponge. You can store the sponge in the can if you clean and dry it completely (just like it came to you).
 
Exactly YoSteve.com. The moisture from the foam may cause some rust to form INSIDE THE CAN and may affect the wax. Best bet is to just place your foam pad in a ziploc bag and write Blitz on it. Laters.
 
it came up in thread conversation that I had been putting my storing my sponge in the can (I figured it came that way, and my mom always told me to put thing back where I found them)



Jason then said something like, yeah, it's common knowledge that that's what everyone else does. I stood corrected.



Ron said that its normal for my sponge to degrade.



I came to the conclusion that because I had only rinsed the sponge and put it back in that it got spoiled (the tin and the sponge) The fungus growing on the sponge literally accelerated the break down of the sponge to where it crumbled in your hand, and there a was rust on the inside of the can.



If I were to put it back in the can, next time I will clean it very well with dawn (super new and improved from the last dark blue fast acting power plus dawn) an make sure that it dries completely before putting it back in the can. I may even drop a silicone packet in there to absorb moisture. The way that I loose things, I cannot store the sponge there. It took me too weeks to find my applicators for Klasse !!!! :)

I got a container of Zymol Japon to see what all the fuss, er, I mean money, was about, and that stuff just doesn't even hold a candle to Blitz. The Japon is just sittin' in the fridge. And why does it have to be blue? Stains my applicators and won't come out after I wash them with Dawn.

Steve, yeah I remember that thread. I just didn't remember who was the person who did that sponge inside the Blitz thing. I must admit, Blitz tin can is a bit weird in the sense that they don't give you a plastic lid that can be placed over the tin can so that you can store the foam pad. I mean even Turtle Wax does that. It's a good thing that the stuff inside is so good though. Laters.

Back to the original subject, though. I just put on two coats of Blitz, over Klasse. I was not terribly excited by the K's "candy coating," though not unhappy either.



Now, I am ecstatic. This combo is soooooo much better than K alone (at least on my black pearl finish).
 
Blitz on black will definitely add that special something to the finish. Blitz is very well known for providing some real good depth to the color. Great product. Laters.
 
Picked that one up on the Dirtrider.net forum. (motorcycling forum) About the next friendliest forum to this one. If you're an offroad motorcyclist check it out. nuff said.

I have kept my applicator inthe tin for the past 6 months with no adverse effects so far but I think I will take your advice and keep it in a bag. I put another coat on the honda and it just keeps getting better. AWESOME.. period. :up
 
I learned the hard way this summer. Put my sponge back into the can of Blitz, and must not have been dry. A month later when going to wax the truck again, found that the seam inside the can began to rust. Sealed it up with clear laquer that I use to make fishing lures. ( Or you could use clear fingernail polish to cover the rust, I guess.)



From now on, I'll use a Zip Loc bag, also. Do you think that One Grand will ever go to a plastic tub, instead of the tin can??? Enjoy!
