NEW JOB!!! Automotive sales!!! :)

So just wanted to let y'all know about my new and exciting position I got, the referall program and what not!

So I started a new job a couple of weeks ago at a local automotive dealer. The dealership name is Rusty Eck Ford. We sell Fords of course, but we also have 5 sister stores as well. I come from an automotive background and have sold cars before. The last dealership I was at, sold approx. 60-90 units a month. Not bad but not the best by any means. Its actually horrible for how large the dealer was. That dealer was a Chevy and Subaru dealer. That dealer had the typical scum bag feel to it. The salesman were big time back stabbers and would do anything for a sale. It was the type of place where they'd rather see NO sale instead of someone other than them getting it. It was not fun at all. When I first came and applied here thats what I was thinking about this place.

NOPE NOT TRUE!!! :)

This place is incredible! The salesman are all super nice and they would much rather split a deal and split the commision than see a customer leave. Plus this dealership is a very low pressure situation. The attitude here is incredible, we have tons of fun and do crazy stuff all the time. Rusty Eck does a TON of advertising, which is essential in the sales industry. We have ads on every major radio station in Omaha (8+), tv ads, newspaper/car magazines, bill boards and craigslist. We average, 260-320 Units a month!!!

We have 6 salesman that sell on avg 25+ a month. If I sell 20 new or used vehicles its 10 grand minimum!! Guess what I can live with 10gs a month lol.

So needless to say Mikey is pretty stoked!

im just posting because Im incredibly excited about my new postion. Throughout my life Ive really never had a job that I truly loved getting up and going to every day. I finally found it. Even though I work 55+ hours a week. I control how much I make, its my own business, which I love.

Another reason to post this, is to promote my business lol. If there is anyone close to Omaha or even if your not we can still sell you a car. We are known for beating ANY dealerships advertised price.

here is a HUGE incentive, since its close to the holiday season, how would an extra $300 be assistance to you? Would you like to have $300? If anyone says no please tell me so I can take you to the looney bin :out: Rusty Eck Ford has one of the best referal programs in the nation. If you send me a customer and they purchase a vehicle from me, my boss will send you a check for $300, no questions asked. You dont have to purchase from us, live in Omaha, even know me! Doesnt matter, just send me someone to buy a car from me :)

I simply love everything about my job, sorry it was so long. But once I start talking about my job I cant stop haha.

If any of you have previous sales experience, post up any suggestions you may have! Im trying to learn as much as possible so I can be the BEST slaesman here.

But something that pertains to this site! I got there detailers to start using BFWD!!! I brought in the reference shine kit to have our best detailer give it a try on a sold, jet black used H3. The swirl marks in this truck were TERRIBLE, absolutely the worst I have ever seen in my life. our detailer was complaining about it. We talked a bit and I told him I have absolutely the best LSP on the planet for the money  he told me to bring it in and I said absolutely. I brought it in and he did the whole process as it has been laid out on this site. He about crapped his pants when he got done, to put it lightly! He was super impressed. So where the body shop managers.

So I guess I do have one question for the guys at PAC. Is there a discount we can get if we order tons of stuff in bulk from the site :biggrin:

Wow that's GREAT!!!

So how did you get the detailer to follow the proper process? I ask 'cause too many of the back lot gorrillas think they know how to use ever products and every machine (I know, I used to sell cars, too)?

But you know, even though BF products may cost more, the end result is soooo much better that it WILL help move more cars!

Congrats on your new job!

Forgot to ask: DID YOU TAKE PICTURES?????

nope no pictures :( It was in and off the lot to fast. But the next vehicle they do I will get pics of!

They have internet access in out detail shop. So I pulled up my TID account, searched the process. I pulled it up and he read the whole thing. Said sound easy! Presto he did it all with no issues! He loved the product! We used all 3M products before. Not bad of course, but costly! Plus the nice thing was, we have a local 3M dealer right across the street. But since they saw what just this little kit could do. They were shocked! So hopefully i can get a call out to the guy above early next week. I will get a list together of what all they want to order. Then we can see what the pricing options are.

Thanks guys!

Congrats on the new job, that's awesome. We've purchased a few cars in Omaha over the years. I bought my first car at Acura of Omaha and we bought our first Audi over by the Westroads somewhere. Dad has purchased two Dodge Rams from Woodhouse and also their Navigator. I'm sure there were a couple more as well. My parents gave the Volvo dealer a shot at their business on their new S80, but they were out done by Superior in KC.

Good luck with your new job, it's awesome to have a job you actually enjoy.
