My Vroom experience at Target. Made out awesome!

I went to Sears today to return a hose I got on sale for $24. They credited my card back $45 (the full price). I exchanged for a 50 foot $20 hose and the balance went to my credit card.

So I got a free hose and $25 back on my card!

If people are stupid, I can't help that. I'm not out to correct other people's mistakes. They have a duty of care to do their jobs right. I did have a 2 second moral dilema as I indicated!

Karma? Not in my religion.

I just have to figure out where to put those towels now! When folded they take up an entire drawer.

I'll keep you posted on how well they do.

Oh, very funny kompressornsc

Following the lead of you 'ethically challenged' people:D, i headed out to target this morning. At my first stop, they hadn't stocked the new vroom towels yet, bet they had a price tag out for them of 7.99. But i did find a clearenced out MicroTex microfiber drying towel for $1.98. This is the brand they use to sell before they switched over to vroom. I made a stop at a second Target, and there i found a fully stocked section of these vroom drying towels. Price on the shelf said $7.99. Out of curiosity i took one to a isle price scanner, and they were comming up as the 12pack flannel for $1.64. needless to say, I picked up a few. The MicroTex and vroom towels are exactly the same size, and appear to be very similar. The stitching around the edge is definately different, so they may be made by different mfgs.

I picked up about 10 items @ Lowe's last night. I was 'in need of facilities', so I just paid quick & left, not even checking my receipt. Total came out to $46. Just doing the math in my head, I had over $90 worth of stuff. I have no idea what happened...

That happened to me years ago at Pep Boys. I bought a case of Mobil 1 synthetic oil (six 1 qt containers) and was only charged for one. I was in a rush and didn't think about why it was so cheap until I looked at the receipt a few days later.

Sometimes you just luck out. :D

hmmm. i might have to stop by Target on the way home from work.

Werd.... I think I may go there tomorrow or something.... jeez I feel unethical... ok not really, they deserve it. They've ripped me off before on other deals.

:nixweiss Maybe it's a sale? Seems like it happened to lrosales too.

By the way lrosales, :welcome to Autopia!

I love the MF from Target. Those towels are big enough to do my cars solo. They hold up well after washing and are cheap. They do a better job than my high $$ waffle weave MF. :)

Wanna hear some irony Seth?

My girlfriend gets home last night from Target with all sorts of goodies (picked up some Vroom APC and Glass wipes and other stuff). She tells me she found a nice $80 Callaway Golf Bag and decided to get it. She had all of her stuff rung up and it came to the golf bag. It beeped as it went through, she paid, and left. She dropped the receipt in the parking lot and took a look. IT DIDN'T RING IN. She couldn't believe it, but a free $80 golf bag. She asked if she should bring it back, then I responded with your story and a "Hell no, their fault/loss".

Looks like Target has some computer kinks to work out.

I had to make a trip to my local "Tar-zhay" when I discoved my son took my Absorber chamois and some of my microfiber towels with him to school so he could wash and qd his Mustang. . They were out of the Absorber, so I bought the Vroom brand as well as a pack of microfiber towels and microfiber wash mitt.

I'm impressed! I plan on getting a few more packages of the MF towels the next time I go there.

I also lke the logo.. reminds me of my dogs! ;)

Well I would say you could be mad at your son, but at least he stole from you for a noble cause! :D

After reading post about the Vroom brand Tire shine and large micro fiber drying towel at 6.5sq ft. 23.5 inch x 40 inch.

I had to try them so I went to Target (oop's sorry Shiny Lil Detlr)

"Tar-zhay" :xyxthumbs

Picked up 2 drying towels 1 mf wash mitt and a bottle of tire dressing all vroom brand.

I get to the counter and what do know NO PRICE on the large mf towels so the clerk asked me "what the price was"?

The first thing to come out of my mouth was 3.99 and he say's

"sounds good" and rings them up at that price.

Man I had a hard time not breaking out laughing and falling on the floor. I think I could have got Spilchy's price if I had said it.

I felt guilty and the clerk was noticing me trying to hold myself back so I told him the truth and he said. "Not your fault it should have been in the computer". Thanked me for being honest and left it at 3.99 I was LOL all the way home.

Anyway the products arenâ€â„¢t that bad at all I was shocked you can get decent products at "Tar-zhay" :xyxthumbs

So the moral here?

Visit Target (oop's sorry Shiny Lil Detlr) "Tar-zhay" :xyxthumbs

And name your own price for Vroomâ€â„¢s large MF drying towels.

Thanks for the tip guys.

:wavey

I went to my Target last weekend--they must be ahead of the curve, because everything was clearly marked, had UPCs, even came up the right price when I scanned it. Nuts!

Well, I payed full price for one of the vroom mf drying towels (no such luck on the UPC mix up) but I gotta say, this thing does a great job. I cut off the trim, washed in cold water and light-heat dried with my other towels. How long it stays soft and absorbent remains to be seen, but for the price (and no wait for shipping) it goes in the basket.
