I took these pics to sell the car and then decided I did not want to sell it. haha

Wow! Is that the original paint? Looks good for 14(?) year old paint. Since you're going to keep it, throw some rims on it.

I would buy it from you the way gas prices are these days. that EF looks like its in Excellent condition externally! Nice!!

Thanks guys!

I am not sure if it is the original paint or not. I think it is cause the pin strip is painted on and is the same all over, however, that could of been one after a repaint.

I also have some 16" wheels for it but they are silver and I hate the way it looks on there so I might try and trade them or try and paint them black. I like the black look since there is no silver anywhere else on the car.

Looks almost like my winter car did (91 Si). How the heck do you have that car in MI and not have holes in the 1/4 panels? My 1/4s were rusting in 3 places! but the paint and iunterior still looked great!

Well, I have rust under the hood, on the front fenders, on the doors, and one tiny small spot I had on the pass rear quarter but took care of it this winter. I am sure it will come back. I was going to have the whole car painted but for one could not find a shop to do it and guarantee it since it had rust and two could not afford it anyway. I figure, if the rust gets too bad I will buy new panels. A little trick to do on the rears is to get rid of that rubber/plastic fender well trim crap. It does nothing but hold water and dirt and salt. I think that helped some.

Looks mighty good for a MI beater! I actually *like* the black rims and even their size, to me they look business-like and in keeping with the rest of the car. Fancy rims on a car that could use some rust repair isn't something that would appeal to me. And why have lower profile tires on a beater? Just more potential trouble when roads are crappy. I think it's good to have a beater car you don't have to baby over chuckholes and curbs :xyxthumbs

True dat! I actually have the other wheels for sale. I don't think the silver wheels look good at all on it.

Thanks!

You know, I have never checked what I am gettign but I can tell you that it does not have a low gas light and I am ALWAYS running past E. The reason is cause I fill up so unoften that I forget to check it! It is great on gas! :D

If it's a daily driver, and you don't fill up that often, then you must be getting excellent gas mileage! :D It looks good though. Usually, when I see those models, they have rust galore, or they are primed waiting to be painted with loads of performance mods. Nice to see an OEM in good condition. :up

Thanks again! The black trim needs painted yearly cause the duplicolor stuff does not last long for some reason...Michigan winters I am guessing. But besides that it is a decent little car.

It looks to be in pretty good shape from the photos but from my experience in looking for one in rally use, your actual description of rust underneath sounds right :) Still, most of them had holes big enough to put my fist through in the quarter panel and this is in much better shape.

How come you don't drive your Civic in the winter? Is it too low? Worried about coilovers rusting?

The dreaded car cancer. My friend that does body work told me that some shops are so scared of it, they sometimes would cut the surrounding area of the rust and patch it, sand, prime, and paint, if it was much cheaper than a new panel. But it generally does spread and gets bigger and bigger if you don't catch it in the beginning. Is it surface rust or is the rust deep in the car panel?

The rust I have is pretty bad. I will be better off with fiberglass when it all decides to go I think. But I am just going to run the car until it will no longer go I think.
