My Black Audi Detail

To say the least I was sick of my car looking so crappy, to anyone else it probably looked fine. I detailed with Menzerna Final Polish II and then added 2 coats of FMJ. This was my first time using FMJ and I am happy with it.I don't know if I would say though its the best product I have used. In the spring I will go into some deeper polishing and include using their Glaze to hide some other minor imperfections. Here are some shots and sorry if my picture skills are not the best.

those are sitting in my basement right now, I have the cheezy 16's with snow tires to battle the condtions here in NY and to take full advantage of Quattro. Also is would not be smart to drive on Summer tires which I did for 1 month when I had just bought the car. I think we have one of the hottest cars out there honestly but I am biased. Thanks for the compliment Bill

Hmm..mine came with all seasons, but yes, it is wise to have a set of winter wheels/tires.

I don't have FMJ but I topped the Klasse twins with Souveran via "spit" ( really distilled water, or, as I will try, Crystal Mist) shining.

I'd recommend giving that a shot in the spring, that's REALLY going to make the paint pop even more! :xyxthumbs

thanks for the reply bill, I will try that since I have Klasse sitting in my basement also. Thanks for the compliments guys. I wish I had more time to post other details that I have done for customers. Gotta start to make more time.

as far as topping with FMJ it looks like it becomes a bit more wet with the 2nd coat, also the slickness increases. I am very interested on the durability though. It seems to be very close to Blackfire as a sealant but i just hope it lasts a bit longer. Thanks for all the compliments and I will keep everyone posted.

Hmm, that car looks mighty familar... Yours looks like mine before the winter when I just got it.

Morbid I love the Ultrasport, do you hang out on Audiworld? Your car looks clean in those pics. After all that work on my car it kills me that as of last night its starting to get some dust on it from all the sand on the road and now at work in the parking lot i can consider it screwed. At this point I am really considering though to move down to southwest Florida for many reasons and this just adds to the list.

Squashed did you get a new car yet, I saw the post with your car and I feel for you. Something along those lines happened to my fathers 86 Camaro, there was no chase but someone stole it ran it into a guardrail and blew the thing up. Hope everything is ok
