Awesome Fbody bro, send me your engine...;)

I'd be happy to sell it to you :) I'm looking for some more power.

I'm looking into an Iron block LS3 418ci, with a similar setup and a blower cam. And followed up by a Procharger F1-A :)

what are you running in the 1/4 with that beast? love the color...

Haven't run it at the track yet since I'm still on the stock 10 bolt. Without trying to bench-race... once the car is dialed in and I can drive it down the track well, it should be mid to bottom 10's.

thanks!

Damn that pic of the engine in that Camaro makes me really miss my L-88 Vette!

Nothing like big block power to a 4:11 rear!

I can't even imagine the way it reacts with that fuel system as opposed to my old technology of a 850 double pump Holley.

I miss the lope of the cam at idle, used to sound like a funny car!

More pics of that sick *** machine!!!

Don't have any other recent pics of it, but here's a couple vids of the way this thing sounds :)

btw, it COMPLETELY overpowered the mic on the camera, so just a heads up. Oh and the video quality is kinda low, but click the High Quality link anyway.

My buddy Alex went with me today for a quick ride, and shot some video. *all video shot in Mexico lol*

*NWS - brief language (that would be Alex)*

First vid, cutouts closed.

Second vid, cutouts opened.

LOL.

I think I'm gonna borrow a friends video camera to get some better vid/sound of the exhaust.

L92..truck heads? Nice. I think I still have my copy of GMHTP where I first read about that swap. Think it was a SOM WS6 from Texas. It's something that I've wanted to try ever since I read it.

One day I'll own a F-body. I've only been dreaming about it for 15 years.

I actaully had been thinking about dropping a big block into a 3rd gen IROC.

Maybe some day. :hifive:

I am not the only one with similar aspirations. 88-89 IROC-Z, 572ci high compression powerplant, mated to a 6-speed transmission, full roll cage.... In orange/tangerine metallic with silver racing stripes. Dreams... that's what retirement is for. :woohoo:

Yeah, officially they are the 6.2L truck heads, but they are identical to LS3 heads just don't have the sodium filled valves, which aren't as good for a high compression motor like mine as the solid ones are.

Its a good swap, they flow crazy numbers. But heads will only fit LS2 and LS3 blocks. Won't fit LS1, LS6, or LS7.

Oh and I have some new dyno numbers. The cats exploded on the dyno....so that kinda sucked. So I have some new ones to go on so we can finish the tune... but with the problems it made:
