Mother's FX Spray Wax

Used it today for the 1st time....I have only used Z6 in the past so I don't know about all the QDs out there

but I really liked this stuff, it went on and off incredibly easy, added a little to the paint, and felt pretty damn slick

Very impressed with it:xyxthumbs

It was only 5 or 6 bucks too:cool:

Larry, I haven't tried the new Mothers range yet, but from the feedback I read much of it is equal to any 'boutique' equivalent.

What did you have under it? What colour paint and what difference in look?

There are several products in the new Mothers' lines that are "top-shelf". The FX Synwax is one of them. It's good to hear that the Spray Wax is also a great product. I hear that the new Reflections line is also much improved with some new additions. I also have some of the new Power Polish that I intend to try soon.

It seems that Mothers' has stepped it up quite a bit. Good for them! Competition is a good thing for us consumers.

It was my GFs car and is a few months old...I haven't had a chance to do a full detail on it (SNOW!!!) and I didn't want to do a full detail because my sonus pads are on the way. But whatever wax Infiniti uses is what was on there.

But whatever wax they did use was almost all gone, it did not bead at all, shine was getting kinda dull, and the paint overall just felt very dry/gritty (I hit some of it with a clay bar because it just had to even though we just wanted to wash some crap off)

The color is pearl white (very nice) IMO what the FX detail spray did was make the surface very slick (not quite as slick as Z6 on a car that needs to be re-waxed), it also def added some depth and shine to the paint (made the pearl white look like milk)

I know my reaction of the cars appearance went from "ehhh it def needs to be polished and waxed" to "wow it looks real good except for the swirl makes"

I am going to do a full detail on her car in the next 2 weeks or so if the weather decides to agree with the time of year it is. My plan is:

Wash, clay

SSR1 (she has some very minor swirls, nothing to big and I would imagine this is what SSR1 is for, if not i'll jump to 2.5)

follow up with Klasse AIO for a little extra cleaning

Top it off with Zaino Z2 Pro

Finish it off with some Z6

Next time I try the FX spray wax will be for my mother's explorer which is in horrific shape:shocked it def needs 2.5 and the rest...except I am going to use Megs #26 followed by the FX QD/spray wax

I did a small panel on my mother's explorer yesterday with the stock PC pad and 2.5....Damn what a job it did, tore through a huge scuff mark, removed major swirling (obviously left minor swirling that looked similar to what my GF has thats why I assume SSR1 will be enough) and ripped though oxidation without a problem....the panel looks great, the rest of the car looks like crap still though

I also tried the FX spray. It is more than a qd . I used it on a cream colored 1948 Packard , A 1989 Nissan silver in color and a 1995 Chevvy Astro and on all 3 cars it gave a super shine like if I was waxing cars all day. Also tried the new Reflections , you gatta try that stuff.

I am dying to get them  :bounce

from the description on the bottle it seems to be similar to the NXT speed detailer-probably a bit more wax content since it's being sold as a spray wax
