I live in East Boca, he lives in West Boca. I have seen his car before. If he doesnt get any full sun shots today, I might just swing by after work and snap some for us. Either way, from the looks of that pad, and the fact that he didnt even clean the panel I can take a guess of what it is going to look like.

For that 15 seconds of pain I had to endure while he left that buffer on the same spot...while practically yelling (sounded like an action movie) I feel the need to take some Asprin.... :hairpull

I still find it funny how maybe two people are still a firm believer in his methods. He hasn't showed any pictures in the sun or with halogen lights.

I'm glad there were some responses regarding his dangerous information. A detail should never be done in haste.

Same method, different car, maroon Escalade (full sun shots, though a little hazy? Result of being a cloudy day?). Check the original thread by RealtyCar on M5Board for the pix.

So, then wait to be approved!!!

Isn’t this a case for PDTA and not Autopia ???

This tread is almost as bad as giving someone advice to vandalize because of none payment.

Tread? Your almost as bad as Mr. Reality with spelling..If all you're going to do is talk about how bad autopia is then why dont you just leave...no one here would miss you. :sadwavey:

Well, I have to give this guy credit for really trying to make his point. I may not agree with all he is saying but he actually provided a video and he says he will post the video to the Escalade pics. I don't know where the heck he gets the time. As for myself, I'll stick to the PC for my humble 330i. So far it has performed very well.

People like this make me cringe. A detail in 1 hour and 30 minutes?! When I wash my mother's swirl-prone X-3 with soft paint, it must take me at least 45 minutes because I am so careful. Then when he thinks he can school some of the best autopians...ugh.

The only thing I know is that guy has to work in sales or it's a part of what he does. I can smell them even through the intarweb. Notice how all his posts are sky's the limit if you do/use what I use. Nothing can ever go wrong if you do/use what I use. Everyone else is wrong and needs to be educated by a real proffessional(him). Has been doing this since the dawn of time. Buzz words are used in copious amounts.

This was definately a good laugh before I head home from work. Have a good weekend everyone.

What's the deal with that forum? I registered yesterday and I still can't post there yet I can log in :nixweiss

I bet I can't join cause I stated I own a truck in my profile instead of a BMW :rofl

Seriously though, it would be nice to post something. :grrr

I saw the video.... having experience with a rotary and the PC, I was amused at the amount of disinformation, misinformation and outright bovine scat.

He is the "Baghdad Bob" of detailing! :LOLOL

PS: was it me, or did his DeWalt sound like a swarm of angry "paint killer" bees?

A fair education on the rotary, but certainly not definitive in the final result - we still can't get that elusive sun-only shot. To his credit, he made a very worthy effort, and the caddy was big improvement at minimum. The materials may be just fine, but I'm not sold enough to put my paint at risk with my skill level on the rotary, and I suspect your typical M5 owner isn't either. But I did find much of the discussion instructive.

This is SOO funny, yet I sure wish I could join the boards.

Heres my idea...

Someone on Autopia act exactly like Realtycar in his video and make a video with their rotary on a junk panel. Hold it there for 15 seconds, then show the results. This could possibly shut down realtycar and all of his followers...

btw, hes viewing the thread right now.....

His pics of that Escalade looks pretty good, but I'd much rather see that black Lexus again.

Can someone find a source to show him that the Lexus does NOT have a clearcoat, unless it was completely repainted.

You know what? His followers are brainwashed already. Even if he does show full sun shots, he uses a glaze after, so any holograms left might not even show. Just let him do what he wants, let the ******* M5 owners who actually believe his bull**** f**k up their finish, and notice it 2-3 washes later and wonder why they have buffer trails and halos. And when they think they just need to redo the whole process they'll wonder why they have clearcoat failure..

I'm getting in way late on this thread, but form what I've read...I love it. let the bmW guys brn the hell out id thier paint. Just makes mine look even better. You all probably know that there is a relatively small group of people that really know how to care for their cars properly. I am happy to have found them here at autopia!

Waste of my time. Sigh. :) I'd much go back to my Weekend Warrior detailing that's "unprofessional" and without "Body Shop Training".
