Modern Day Batmobile (Corvette Z06) Lots of Pictures

Fantastic work:cool:

Love the lowered suspension....wheels would look ok without the redline. The C6 Z's are so badazz in stock form.

Thanks!

The lowered suspension looks awesome, but is not very practical for the horrible roads here in New England.

As for the wheels, I agree. I don't particularly care for the red stripe.

The new Z06's are the baddest car for the money IMO.

Looks great, I agree 100% about the wheels.

Question: what type of alcohol do you use to wipedown? Do you spray and wipe? I am planning on polishing my wife's vehicle soon and I have never done this step before waxing.

I don't have any particular brand I use. You can pick it up at any neighborhood drug store. Some people dillute it 50/50 with distilled water, but I prefer to use it straight. Just spray it directly on the panel and wipe it off with a soft microfiber cloth.

An alcohol wipedown will ensure that your wax or sealant will properly bond to the paint surface and last significantly longer.

I also do an alcohol wipedown after I am done polishing every panel to make sure there are no "fillers" that may give a false impression that the panel is perfect, when it may not be in reality.

OUTSTANDING rick! That would have been a killer 1 day job!

Thanks Greg!

Yes, it's always nice to not be in a rush. The owner knew the weather was going to be horrible, so he told me to keep it for as long as I needed it to make it perfect.

The sad thing is that when I drove the car to his house not even 2 miles away, the car got all dusty from the ride :wall. I don't think I could ever own a black car or I would lose my mind :hairpull

What are the chances?...

Rick, great work on the correction as usual. I'm sorry but the wheels are horrific. I'm a firm believer that wheels can make or break a car and in this case, they detract from the awesome body lines of the Z06. IMO, wheels should accentuate a car not dominate it.

Great job,

Patrick

Thanks Patrick!

I couldn't agree more about wheels making or breaking a car. I guess everyone is different!

Looks great Rick. Love the trees in the hood shot.

We used ultrafina on the Tahoe this weekend. That's a good product. :)
