Then, the choice of choices - in every review you will read in every car magazine in every part of the world is the BMW M5!! BMW has perfected the luxury/sports sedan in the M5. That cannot be argued.
M5 = You want comfort? Just kick back and enjoy the ride. You want speed? Push it and you're smoking just about everyhthing on the road? You want a combination of both all the time??? YOU GOT IT!
Benzes are heavy and tend to feel a little clumsy. And, yeah, I know that that's what the reviews always say. But I am not speaking solely by what the reviews say... I've had the sweet opportunity of driving a CLK55 and WoW!! :shocked Sweet ride!! But it FEELS heavy and more times than I wanted, it felt clumsy. Yeah, it's FAST!! But it lacks agility and spirit. I suppose I've been spoiled by the BMW formula of car building.
And what is this about M3 engine failures??? I am in a BMW club where there are a good number of M3s and the only failures I've ever heard about the E46 M3 engine is THE FAILURE OF THE DRIVER TO GET ENOUGH OF IT"S INCREDIBLE SPIRITED AND POWERFUL "TORQUE-ALL-UP-IN-YOUR-FACE" ENGINE. Other than that, no problems what-so-ever.
Benzes are sweet. The CLK AMG footprint is, to me, a work of art. At this point in my life though, I would not want one. I wanna hug the road like no one's business MOST OF THE TIME. When I take a deep curve at 85MPH I don't wanna feel the momentum of my car going somewhere other than where I am going... I want the experience to be as if I were running the curve myself on foot! In other words, I want the car and I to be at one with one another. I want to do all those things you mentioned you wanna do, but I wanna do it FAST and often times FURIOUSLY. I wanna be at one with the car I am driving... I want exhilliration! I want FUN! I want SPIRIT!!... and if I wanna talk on my hands free, I will... but frankly I really don't want to! I'm having too much darn fun in my Bimmer! OH!! And when people I don't know compliment my car, I wanna get out and look at it with them and relive the very reason I bought it.
Whew!! It was even fun writing about it :bounce
Man, I love this car!!
