Meguiars 80/83 vs. Optimum Polish/Compound

So to make a long story short, Meguiars and Optimum are quality companies that make quality products. It boils down to what one gives a particular look you are after or find easier to use. :)
 
Since I'm probably going to be working in the sun, I guess I'll have to buy the Optimum. However, do you think that OC will be necessary on 1993 Acura paint? From what I've heard Honda paint is really soft, and I don't want to buy any extra product that I don't need (money constraint)...
 
No one can tell you exactly what you need without actually seeing your car in person and trying producct/pad combos on it.
